Frozen in time

Is it just me or is January just crawling along? (Prepare yourself, the January blahs are early this year). Today I looked at the calendar and it was ONLY January 3rd......

Two days back to work and it truly felt like it should be at least the 10th or 11th!! Ohh this is gonna be a loooong month.

One bright spot today was a family friend sent over a big container of ham and bean soup which was perfect for a cold yucky day. And another bright spot is that I've gained a few new followers recently. I'm getting close to the 200 follower milestone. Woohoo.

So far tomorrow night has no commitments so I WILL make some progress on the rug. Hopefully that will encourage a more inspiring post :)

  1. Hi Kim, a large bowl of ham and bean soup sounds perfect. It was eight below here this morning, I really appreciate my heated car seats too...Have you worn your new Aldo boots? Mine are terribly slippery...very nice to look at, but dangerous! Have a good evening, Julie

  2. I laughed out loud when I read the first few sentences! I thought I was the only one who felt this way just two days back! LOL I am trying to find a way to be distract myself from the fact we are just Three Stinking Days into January by making cute little things for February! And, I am leaving Every light in the house on all day!

The weekend is nearly here! Hang in there!

  4. Kim ~
I've gained a few new followers, too, and unfortunately a few new
pounds. UGH! I want pants that don't choke me...lol!
I think January and February are the two longest months of the year.
    Hugs :)

  5. You just reminded me that I have a batch of homemade ham and bean soup in my fridge...guess what I'll take to work tomorrow! It's very freezing here..only 4de this morning. Even though this work week had a day off in the beginning, the week does seem to be crawling by. Jan. always is a long, dreary, cold month and I'm never sorry to see it pass. However, I hate wishing my life away! Hope the weekend goes slowly though!

  7. So nice that your friend shared some delicious soup. Sounds so good! I'm still on "Christmas break" for a few more days (hubby and I teach school) so time is going too fast this week. Back at it for all us next week! Stay warm.

  11. January always drags, but March is far worse. I measure everything by days of from school and in March we usually don't have a single one.

  12. Kim your friend is very kind to bring you home made soup on a cold day to warm you up.
I hope that the weather warms up for Millie's sake.

I think it's time that you met with your girl's club for some great food fun. I can't remember what you call the club. It will make time go faster for you. I remember when I was young, I would go skating in any kind of cold weather and it didn't bother me as long as I had a place to warm up. I had so much fun and now the cold kills me.

I must be too busy because I find the time goes too fast for me and I've noticed that the faster the time goes the older I get. hahahah

Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer it get to the end the faster it goes. Long life my friend.
    Hugs

  14. You're not alone! As soon as Christmas was over my thought was "Ok, time for spring!" January is way too early to be having spring fever... I'm stuck in the house! It's still way to cold to be outside!
