Call me surprised

Today was week 1 weigh-in day at work. I was sure I gained. The truth is, I kind of gave up on the diet plans after Wednesday. That was the day we got another little bump in the road with regards to Mom's health. I'll wait until we have more details before I share.

But when I get unsettled I tend to eat in the evenings. And eat and eat and eat. Plus Friday nights dinner party was not diet friendly. (And a bag of chips on Sunday). However, much to my surprise, as I reluctantly stepped on the scales in front of co-workers........I lost 1 & 1/2 pounds.

So I am motivated again. If I can do that without really trying, maybe I can drop those 10 pounds. A sensible lunch, spinach salad for dinner and no evening snacks so I'm back on track for this week.

  3. Cheers to your weight loss!! If there's one thing I know, it's that it can be very unpredictable. (My little secret is that I lost 140 lbs. four years ago with Weight Watchers...unfortunately gained much back after my mom's diagnosis.)

  10. I'm trying to get back on the eating right track after the holidays. I lost 25 lbs before Christmas, but gained 2 during our vacation. It's so hard to not eat at night...guess I need to start going to bed early so I won't do that! :)

  11. Good for you!!! I'm a bit frustrated....seems like I gain and lose the same 3 lbs day after day. I'll keep trying though. Eating healthy foods is the main thing!

  12. Congrats and keep up the good work! My weakest time is right after work...frustration and pent up stress find it's way into my mouth as soon as I get home. If I could curb that I might have success! I'm not a night eater..thank God! But I am a "grazer" during the day. Everyone has their achilles heel I guess!
