I'm trying to keep my mind occupied. I hate coming home to an empty house. It's so quiet and lonely. All Millie's things are washed and packed away in the back of my closet. I had several large reports to write for work so that kept me very busy most of Saturday and all Sunday. It was one time I didn't mind working on the weekend.
And around here you can always distract yourself with the never ending chore of shovelling snow. After work i shoveled aunties steps off and then back here to tackle my driveway before it froze.
I really appreciate all the supportive comments recently. Now on to find more distractions while my heart heals.
Xoxoxo
How about some hooking? <3

ReplyDeleteYes Kim, try to keep busy. I know it is hard when your heart is broken. When we lost our Roxy in 2008 I remember missing her so much and also missing the routines that you do everyday with your dog. Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteSo very sorry
ReplyDeleteCathy
Thinking of you and understanding what you're feeling.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, feel sad for you, no more wagging little body so happy to have you home, nothing like a dogs welcome home. Keeping you in my thoughts, Hugs Francine.
ReplyDeleteI'm sending some hugs your way....I would send some of our snow your way but it sounds like you have enough...take care.
ReplyDeleteI'm sending some sunshine and hugs your way and Millie's way in dog heaven.
ReplyDeleteI believe that animals have souls as they love and true love never dies. Even Pope Francis believes that animals have souls.
Millie is at peace, no more suffering for her but your mourning her loss and your pain is very real.
When I lost my dog Mitzy, she was a toy poodle, I still was expecting her at the door wagging her tail when I came in. It took a long time to get used to it.
It seems that you got two big loss two winters in a row. So sorry...
Hugs,
Julia
