If you look hard enough, there is always a bright side. It is true that the extensive coverage of that silly football game went on for days and days but the bright side of that came later this morning.
One of my guy friends always has a Super Bowl party. They actually watch the game. (Crazy huh) Anyway, he called me this morning and asked if I was interested in some leftovers.
Well, sure. So he had me unlock my car so he could drop them off. My care package include amazing hot and spicy buffalo wings, some louisiana style ribs and to top it off - He even included a bottle of Stella Artois beer.
Ribs, wings and beer - Does it get any better than that?? My supper was great.
I did watch a few minutes of the event last night. I had a friend call me when the half time show started because I wanted to see Madonna. I think she rocked it.
See.......there always is a bright side.
Mmm mmm that sounds delicious! Very awesome friend to give you such yummy leftovers!
ReplyDeleteI loved watching the game(and halftime), but that is it!!!! I don't want to see the pregame, I don't want to watch anything once that clock ticks down...and I certainly am trying to avoid any further discussion of the bird being flipped!
ReplyDeleteYummy yummy, btw!
I think that you got the bet of the deal. Of course, I am not a football fan. But the food, yum.
ReplyDeleteI thought Madonna looked great.... I heard she had a pulled hamstring so was not getting in her usual moves! Bet the super bowl board was happy as they try to keep it family friendly..... like the year Janet Jackson was exposed!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThose left overs sound yummy!!
Enjoy!

When you can combine the bright side with finger lickin' good grub, well now that's a good thing! Glad he thought of you!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get any better than that. What a friend. I felt Madonna held it together pretty good as well. I heard so much bad press about her before the game on the radio that I was a little concerned.
ReplyDeleteWe always watch the game just to see the funny new commercials! lol I didn't watch the game at all! lol Madonna did rock it last night! Your dinner sounds good too!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you got something nice happening to you on a Monday. That's a great combo. I hope that he thinks of you next Super Bowl party. My mouth is watering. JB
ReplyDeletesounds yummy! you didn't miss a thing the commercials stunk my team stunk and I went to bed.
ReplyDeletecome and put in for my giveaway if you haven't already

Well, I did watch the game, but only for the commercials. They were great. You have a wonderful friend!
ReplyDeleteThat is how you are always positive. Your dinner sounded wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm....am I the only one who is even the wee bit suspicious of this gesture??? What guy gives up his superbowl munchies (albeit leftovers) so easily - and DELIVERS them to your car no less???? Have to admit, I can enjoy a good superbowl game (good being defined as 1) the Packers are in it and are winning or 2) I have numbers in a pool and am at least getting my investment back....) ;o) Hope your week has been good to you so far....Did a little catch-up reading and am still snorting over the bathroom scene....don't they have separate "mens" and "women" up there in the north woods??? Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteWhoo-hoo! Looks like you won the Super Bowl!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to sample the good part of the event- the food! And didn't have to endure the boring part- men running and falling all over each other.
Touchdown for Kim!!!
WOW! Sounds good to me! Free food and delivered....You had stopped by my nlog today and asked if the rug was my design. It was on the linen when I bought it so I don't know who's it is but I love it! I am now going to find one with horses I hope. Have a good evening.
ReplyDeleteLove you post!!
