Waiting for the sun

There wasn't much to do outside this morning. A torrential rain shower and thunder and lightening meant indoor pursuits were a must. Half of the town lost electricity but luckily I was in the half with power!

I made everyone a nice breakfast with fresh blueberries.




Then hooked a bit on the flower rug. I haven't had time to hook much all week, so this project seems to be taking too long. I need to finish before I completely lose interest.



Tomorrow morning my faux big sister arrives for 10 days. So off to the airport in the morning. We are so excited. She has been texting me daily for 2 weeks counting down the sleeps. Lol.

Well, it looks like the sky is clearing so I'm going to plan the rest of my day. Enjoy!

    PLEASE send us rain! My hydrangeas are all dying...I can't water enough to keep up with the 100-degree temps.

    LOVE the bright vibrant colors in your rug! We had rain a couple of days ago, but the humidity made it almost worst than the heat!

    I think we may get a little rain but hopefully power outages won't be mixed in! That will be the only way cooler temps will finally come by tomorrow....and that breakfast looks yummy! Enjoy your day and your "sister's" stay!

    I love the colors in that rug! I do see Deanne's influence too..... wish some would fly this way to WI!!
    Hope you have a good time with Faux Sister?? I think I missed a post here? Your blueberries and pancakes just gave me an idea for supper tonight!!
