This night was a bust

Or more correctly "busted glass".  Today we've had wild winds. I got home from work a little late and was rushing to get Abby out to pee.  The wind caught the back door and whipped it out.  It smashed the outside light.  Smashed to smitherines. 
So it's dark, no outside light and glass everywhere.  Grrrrrr.  I grabbed Abby and threw her back in the house and grabbed an old box to collect the glass.  I got all the big pieces but will have to wait until daylight to see the rest.  I called my neighbor and told her to watch out because of her little dog and the shatter path is between both our back doors.  I'm not a happy camper.  So the weekend isn't starting out as planned.  I would say it calls for a large beverage

    We have had that happen, now we just use screen doors. We also had two tables shatter when the winds knocked the umbrella hard enough to shatter the table, so now we are more careful. I hope you weekend goes better;)

    Well, that is just wrong! :-( The good thing is that you or Abby were not hit by falling glass. I had a heavy bottle fall out of the cupboard about a month ago and SHATTER! I'm still finding glass in weird places. I've swept, vacuumed, and washed the floor multiple times. The glasses must be skittering around when I'm not looking. I hope tomorrow is a better day.

    EveryBODY has been having such BIG wind. We have been windy for days. Our vehicle was actually bumped to the side here and there on our way to Thansgiving at CH's brother's house. Sorry about your light... I think the wine mine have made you feel a bit better... :)

    Oh my, that no fun at all. I hope you got all the broken glass picked up and the outdoor light replaced... My son's dog got his paw cut bad on a piece of glass by the river bank.
    You won't need a light after your done that glass. You'll need and undertaker. lol.

    I hate wind more than anything. We were getting gas one time when the wind caught my car door and broke it...We couldn't get it closed and thankfully hubby had some bungie cords in the back so we could drive the 20mi home...in the rain of course! Hope your week is better!
