Stormy weather

Winter is about to wallop us with all its fury. All hope of this storm fizzling out or veering off course have faded. It's coming whether we like it or not. (And I don't like it!)
I think I'm ready. All the "distraction devices" are charged - iPhone, iPad, and the new kindle arrived today! Several episodes of Downton Abbey are downloaded. I have a brand new piece of burlap waiting for a new project. The butterfly rug "might" get bound. I bought yarn just in case the knitting-mood strikes.

I also stocked up on groceries. The store was wall to wall people all doing the same thing. The first thing you always do when there's a storm coming is buy bread and milk! There is a hysterical video on YouTube. I wish I knew how to post it here but if you search Bread & Milk, its only short. That's what half the people in the store looked like. Lol

I loved the comments on my last post. I agree with all "the bugs" you shared. It was fun. I think we may have another "what's bugging me" post soon.

Ok, time to batten down the hatches, tuck in and wait out the weather.

It sounds like you are perfectly set in for a whopper of a storm! I think you've got enough to keep you busy for weeks.
I'm hoping you don't lose your power!

  6. Hi Kim, sounds like you have everything under control. The wind is howling, snow is falling, and we are all tucked safely in our nest. Stay safe, what is up with the cat and bread? I must have missed something. See you on the other side of this blizzard, Julie.

  7. It sounds like you will be fine. You have every thing under control. Keep those hatches battened down. I hope you keep your electricity. I bet the storm is over before you run out of things to do. I am going to find the video. :)

  9. I seen the milk and bread video tonight! It was hilarious! Sometimes you really do need your milk and bread but usually you don't! lol Do you know how to crochet? This is an awesome Pinterest if you do! http://pinterest.com/cindylou4516/?d

I hope your electric stays on! The storm is missing us where I live in West Virginia. I've been wanting a big snow.... Maybe next time? I think the last big snow was back in 1995.

  17. Hi Kim, the storm is still raging here and the wind is still strong. The plows have been around but with the blowing snow it's not safe to be on the road. The snow drifts are packed hard,

I hope that you are weathering the storm well and that you don't loose your power. Hang in there. It will pass. The wind must upset little Millie. My little dog used to be a little unsettled when the wind blew hard.
    Hugs,
    JB
