Still falling

Yes, the snow is still falling and blowing all over the place. Blustery is a good description. The drifts are high in places. One car is buried, the other almost bare. Both front and back doors have high drifts. Until it stops snowing there is no point in shoveling yet.

Except for a tiny but very necessary shovel job. The drifts were far too high for Millie. I had to make a little hole for for her "to go"

This afternoon I watched Moonstruck with Cher and Nic Cage. An oldie but entertaining. I finished binding the rug

And then treated myself to a glass of wine and made homemade pizza for supper.
Now I've picked up the knitting needles for awhile.

Although I'm dreading the snow clean up tomorrow, today was kind of relaxing. Nowhere to go, a warm house, good food, a little red wine. Restful!

I hope the rest of you in the storms path enjoyed your day.

  3. Kim, Good for you, your rug is complete! Let me tell ya I didn't think the snow was ever going to end. There are some pretty impressive snow drifts out there. Hope you have someone to help you get dug out, it took me an hour just to do my car! Pizza with a glass of wine, in my book a perfect winter's meal, but don't forget the chocolate. Stay safe, hugs to Millie, Julie.

  7. I think the weather forecasters here are very disappointed that we just ended up with "some" snow that was over by this morning. Careful digging out tomorrow!

  9. Poor Millie! I'm sure she isn't happy with having to go in that snow like that! We had a spring like day today with sunny skies. Winter has forgotten us in West Virginia! Well, in my neck of the woods that is... Stay warm!

  11. Moonstruck has been on HBO for a while now and I watch it every time. I love when Loretta yells "Snap out of it!" I hope you don't have to shovel all by yourself. There is just so much snow. Stay warm!

  13. Your finished rug is so cute but I'm wondering if the East coast is loving those "butterflies" today! Hope you continue to stay warm and safe and your day sounded very restful..sort of a "time out" given by Mother Nature!

  14. We have had very little snow here in the NC mountains. It's been a very long time since we have had a huge snow. It sounded and felt like spring here yesterday. Birds singing and flower bulbs coming up.
The wine and pizza is perfect for a snowed in day!
Stay warm and cozy this weekend.

  19. Aww, look at what little Milly left you in the newly dug Porta Potty, hahaha... I'm sure she appreciated your valiant efforts. You are such a good mama to that little girl.

We didn't get as much snow and I'm not sure how much we got as it's all drifts here and there. The storm is over and I glad.

I hope that you got some help to dig yourself out and I'm glad that you had some new project on the way. I still need to go buy that pink yarn for the survivor scarf. I'll probably will find some time to knit while in ottawa, hopefully.

Hope the sun is shining at your place today. The storm is over for now.
