Rested and Random

I was a little surprised I hadn't posted since Tuesday. But as you could tell from that post, I was getting bogged down and overwhelmed. First, before I forget, I really appreciated your comments from that post. Your support was helpful. I tried to go through the rest of the week without feeling obligated to do anything extra.
I do feel re-charged and ready for the week ahead.

Add to that, it was a great weekend. We did the regular Friday night happy hour. The place was packed and it was nice to sit with friends and listen to the music.
Last night was the final performance of a local theatre company's production of My Fair Lady. We made it a true Girl's Night Out - a gang of us met first for drinks and dinner and then headed to the Play. The production was excellent. There is a lot of talent in our little town. Now brace yourselves........I didn't get home until after 11pm! Shocking, I know :)

Now, I need to get off this computer and fulfill my promise to get our taxes ready. The clock is ticking!

I always enjoy it when you talk about your girls night out. It just helps to laugh.

  5. Good for you Kim! You NEED to tend a bit here n there to yourself - that's what allows the 'heart-well' to fill so you can then be there for others.....

And gawd knows there's NO substitute for food, friends, fun and a boatload of laughter. Keeps the world from going kattywhompkas
(I have no idea how you spell kattywhompkas, lol)

Missed your previous post but what matters most (and I'm glad to hear) is that you're feeling better.

    Hugs 'o plenty

  7. Hey, Cinderella, with late nights like that you're in danger of having your car turn into a pumpkin!

Zip would love to see the fishing fly that's named for you. I bet it's awesome!

  8. Now Kim, most of us has stayed out past midnight, I'm sure, and maybe we look like pumpkins but it never dawned on me that it was because of staying out late. ha,ha,ha. I just thought that it was old age, lol..

I'm glad that you have your girl group to go out together and have some great time together.

I don't have my taxes done yet either. We still have until the end of the month anyway.

    Hugs,
    JB
