It's finally sprung

We thought it would never come but this morning I believed Spring had finally Sprung! I woke up to see the sun streaming in and hear the birds chirping. The first thing I did was open up every window upstairs.
I have been busy all week. I did enjoy my little day away even it was literally only a 24 hour break. Since I got home I've been "taking care of business". There's always so much to do around a house when the seasons change.

Finally the weather inspired me to attack our closets today. Winter clothes away, spring/summer clothes out. My bedroom looked like the closet exploded

I know I say this every year but really, I have too many clothes. I did gather up 2 garbage bags to donate to the charity shop though.

Between heavy work commitments and home chores, my blogging has suffered. I'm just not feeling it lately. I haven't been hooking for about 2 weeks either. I find when I'm not into a project I find it hard to post. I did try to hook a bit tonight. I took a photo of the rug before I started. Once I sit back and look at the pic then I see things I don't like and want to change.
It frustrates me and so I only hooked a short time. I needed to cut more wool but instead I just packed it up. Sigh.....I'm just not feeling it. I like the bottom but there are issues at the top. Seems hooking and blogging are tied for me.

  1. I have changed out my winter clothes for the spring ones if the weather will just cooperate.

  2. Kim ~
Hope your blogging and hooking mojo return soon. We miss you!
Don't feel bad. I have clothes hanging in the closet that I haven't worn/fit in to (lol!) for years.
    Hugs :)

  3. I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn a few times and my diagnosis is "Spring Fever"...take a break to enjoy the nicer weather and don't sweat the small stuff..the blog and the wool will still be there another day! Congrats on cleaning out the just reminded me that mine is calling my name..but I'm just ignoring it!

  4. You inspire me...I need to clean out my closet too! I love your latest project. Spring is lovely. We are already into summer here in Arizona it seems since the temps were over 100 today! Hope you have a lovely spring.

  5. Kim I understand the not feeling it with respect to blogging. I guess we all need some down time here and there. Glad you have Spring! Our weather gal actually mentioned snow for us!! I put my hands over my ears and yelled Nooooooooooooo!!

  6. I've noticed a decline in my own blogging desire as well and I need to clean out my closet too.

Congratulations on cleaning out yours. I still hesitate to put my winter clothes away. I guess I don't trust the weather anymore and I wonder why.

Your floral rug looks very colorful.

  7. Congrats on your closet! I have been "off" on blogging for a long while, but I will say I've got a lot of projects/organizing done around the house!! We will just be here waiting for your next post...!!

  8. Yay!!!! so nice it finally sprung, break out the flip flops, Francine.

  9. I am so glad that you finally have spring. Maybe that will help. I think putting winter clothes away and rotating is always a big job. You got it done though. Your rug is so pretty and bright and colorful. I love it. It just looks like it is happy and fun.
Oh well, you have been so busy and so much is going on in your life right now. I am praying for you.

  10. I am so glad that spring is finally appearing for you! You are your own worst critic! I really like the rug.

Have a good week, and take time for yourself!

  11. Oh I so hope you find your mojo soon. I know you don't like something but I think it is great.
    such great color.

  12. Still cool and rainy here.

I get like that sometimes when I don't feel like stitching. It comes back though and you'll feel like hooking again.

  13. I totally understand what your saying because my blog and several other projects in my life have suffered over the last six months. When you don't have the feeling then it's not easy to do it.
You have so much on your plate right now so we all understand.
Just take care of you and the blogging and hooking will come back when your ready.
I love this piece your working on the colors are beautiful.

  14. Hey Kim - good to see you today at Deanne's! I went to Frenchy's afterwards and picked up a whole bunch of wool sweaters for felting (I turn them into mittens). Maybe I should blog about that! See you again soon!
