I bought 2 bundles of daffodils yesterday. The Cancer Society sells them each year. When I woke up this morning they were all in bloom.
What a cheerful way to start the day.
The weather continues to be spring-like. Dare I say it....? I think we have seen the last of the snow. I might even tempt fate by making an appointment to get my snow tires removed next week.
Not much happening here. I did get a nice surprise when I got home from work yesterday. Remember I mentioned a few weeks ago that my rain gutter was hanging down precariously? Every time the wind blew I feared it would snap off and become a flying projectile. But now it is fixed. Yippee.
I casually mentioned it (begged, really) to a neighbor the other day. Apparently he took pity on me and fixed it before I got home from work. Now that I know he is handy and easily guilted, I'm going to start a small list :)
I added a few more items to my Etsy shop today. I packaged my sheep rug for shipping the other day. I took extra care to pretty it up with tissue paper, stickers and tied it all up in a springy ribbon. I was so pleased with myself. I took it to the post office and watched the lady fold it up and jam it down, hearing tissue paper ripping all the way. Uggh, so much for trying to pretty up the packaging.
The goal for the weekend it to finish hooking the current project. I am not happy with it and just want to be done with it. I have a few ideas I want to start after this one. Wish me luck. Motivation for a project you don't like is always low.
Really? She couldn't have been nice about it. I always seal my boxes first. Did you know I found a card I was going to mail you this morning when I was wrapping gifts. I felt like such an idiot.
ReplyDeleteI just got home.
It's cold and grey here so send some of that spring stuff our way, would you? Great that your gutter got fixed... nice neighbor! Good luck finishing your weekend project too!!!

ReplyDeleteWe are our own worst critic! I hope you got your project finished so you can start anew. Are you going to share it with us?
Kudos to your neighbor.

What a nice neighbor - I love having good neighbors like that! And what a not nice post office lady! I don't get why spending a little time being careful is so hard...
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty flowers. :)
Lol, could you send your neighbor over here for a quick minute?
Bad post office lady, bad! :( Shame on her.
I hope you get your project finished so you can start a new one.
Have a great Sunday. Take care, Janet W
Glad you're finding spring...we're reverting back to that "W" season...brrr...dark and dreary...a good napping day, but somehow, the day has slipped by and no nap...again. I love daffodils...they're so happy. Yeah - I know about being less than enthusiastic about a hooking project. That's where I'm at with Welcome Cats....Yikes...gotta some how move on!! Happy Sunday to you....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin (I'm ignoring your comment about the first date....) ;o)
ReplyDeleteWe had beautiful spring weather this morning and we took advantage with a great new hike. This afternoon was cloudy and cold...so I sit here by the fire waiting on chili! I am so thrilled for you about the rug sale!! Nice neighbor!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Courtney

ReplyDeleteI too love daffodils but my absolute favorites arethe pink ones...oh, can't look at them enough!
