The Dream Golf Team had a fabulous day. Why was it a dream team? Well, it was me and 3 men. And they spoiled me. Lol
The weather was perfect. Bright and sunny with just a slight breeze, enough to keep the bugs away. The only thing missing was we all forgot sunscreen and I have a slight burn. Actually, its like a farmers tan - knees to ankles and arms. Looks kind of funny now. No tank tops until it evens out.
It was my 2nd year golfing with these guys. I arrived and one of them already ordered my lunch. It was waiting for me at the clubhouse. The 2 golf carts were reserved and pre-stocked with refreshments. And not once did I have to go fetch a stray ball.
I am thrilled to report that none of my balls went for a swim. I almost never get over the big pond on #4. Its not a long hole but that stupid pond in the middle always psychs me out. But today I landed my tee shot right on the green! And yes, I did a little happy dance.
I did, however, fall victim to the dreaded gully on #7. My ball ended up in the gully (where the snakes live....eeeek). We left it there.
We finished the course with a par score. Not bad! We had about 80 participants and ended the day with a barbeque back at the clubhouse.
I'm tired, happy and a teeny bit sore. Now its time to catch up with all of your posts.
Kim, I'm so glad that you had such a nice time golfing day with three nice guys and that they spoiled you and that you ended the day with a a nice BBQ. It's about time that you had something nice happening to you.
ReplyDeleteNow you can work on the rest of your tan. I have a farmer's tan too but at my age I don't care, I still wear tank tops because I just can't take the heat very well.
I never golf but my youngest daughter does.
Enjoy the week end. Hugs, JB
Hi Kim, Glad your week ended on a high note. Now you can relax.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh....A lovely end to the week. I always loved the golf outings when I was in private practice - 'cept in Nod, at THAT firm, they didn't actually let the "lady" golf (yeah - I was the only female in a firm of 30+ men....) I got to make melon balls instead. (And let me tell you, I could have made some really GOOD melon balls if I didn't need that job...) Glad you had fun. Any taxi dancing going on afterwards??? ;o) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteWhoo-hoo! A day out with the guys on the golf course! And a barbeque to end the day. Sounds like you had a good relaxing day of fun after a week of hectic activity. You certainly deserve some stress free social time.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a nice weekend.
What a wonderful day and wow I like those odds. :) So glad you made it away from the pond and to bad about the gully, it sounds like a wonderful day, beside I think any day in a golf cart is a great day.
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! Sounds like a prefect way to spend the day.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed the way you played the game with those guys.
Hope you have a great weekend
Love
Maggie
I wish I could get CH out there to golf a little! I am glad you had a good time and you are happy! FOOD! Sounds good to me. I have a farmer's tan, used to bug me but not anymore :)
ReplyDeleteKim ~
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great time. You so deserve it. May you have many more fun days like that ~ and sooner rather than later!
Pug hugs :)

My dad so loved to golf! Every spring he would watch to see when he could see a green haze on the ground, and once the grass turned green, it was time to go hit some balls! I sure miss him.....
ReplyDeleteOh my Kim, I'm so behind on reading your blog! I had to go back over the past week and see what I've missed. I loved the pic of your wildlife...I'd call him a groundhog, but maybe I'm wrong, I don't do to good with animal identification! Your golf game sounded fun although I don't golf, my kiddos do and they seem to really enjoy it. I'd rather take a nice walk along the course myself! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great golf time! Sometimes it's fun to hang out with guys...their energy is so different from ours--
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Courtney
Sounds like a slice of heaven to me! I'm glad that it worked out all on the positive! :-) Poison Ivy is another reason to leave a ball... lol!
