Why didn't anyone tell me?

It seems that I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer.  Today I discovered a boo-boo and I feel like a moron.

A friend told me they couldn't find my etsy store so I tried to search it and I couldn't find it by search either. Once I got there I realized that apparently I didn't have an actual Shop name but it was using my username.  I felt slightly stupid and quickly created my Shop name.

BUT then I looked at my shop banner a little closer and.........my banner was spelled wrong.   Wrong!!  So for 2 years the banner of my store was spelled wrong.   And the worst part is that none of you told me!  I mean, you didn't have to say Hey Kim, you're an idiot".  But a quiet little Psst, check your banner would have been OK.

And if you are wondering, it's still wrong.  I can't remember how I created that banner and naturally don't have the original file to edit and quite frankly, I'm too annoyed and frustrated to tackle it tonight.  This will be a project for another day.   Arrgh STUPID

Next time, just whisper quietly in my ear, OK?  ;)

  1. LOL! Oh no! Truth be told, I hardly ever look at the banners... So I never noticed! They've changed so much stuff on Etsy with all the usernames vs shop names, it's a little confusing right now!

  3. I myself am not a very observant person. I mean there could be something literally right in front of me and I won't see it. Sometimes when I do notice something, I'll ask somebody, "How long has that been there?" And their like, "Forever!"

  8. I just thought you were doing it on purpose. You know how people get creative with names?
I have to make a banner soon too. I need to get with it.

  10. Howdy, just popped in to see how you were doing. I haven't been around much for a long time. Still trying to get internet at home so I don't have to go to the library to use it.

We have moved to Washington state to try to help my mom and sis who have health troubles. Everything is crazy.

I miss all my bloggy friends. :(

I hope you are doing well. Have a great day. Take care Janet W ((hugs))

  11. Oops, I must have forgot to push publish last evening as my comment isn't here. I was so dog tired yesterday.

Basically my comment said to be gentle on yourself and not to worry about a tiny typo. We all make typos, especially me. I don't think that it matters at all since the buyers are buying your rugs left and right. It hasn't affected your bottom line.

    Hugs,

    JB

  12. you are not alone! I did the same thing and then when I went back to fix it, months later, someone else had taken the name I originally wanted to use. dang.
