Tweet tweet

Curiosity got the best of me. I tried but couldn't stay away. Plus, I just didn't get the whole twitter thing and that was driving me nuts too. I "NEED" to know stuff. lol (OK, I'm just plain nosey)
The last few months I've heard hashtag this and hashtag that. What in the heck is a hashtag?? It was everywhere. It looked like a number sign to me. I'm so old thats what it used to be called. Then it (#) became the "pound key". Now its a friggin hashtag! Quit it. Stop changing the names of stuff. It confuses people like me :)

Finally I opened a twitter account. First I thought I would just follow other people, you know, for news etc. Then I had this idea that I would have tons of clever snippets to tweet. HA! Since I opened the account I've got nothing! Nada, Zip, Zilch.

What do people tweet about? Will I get better? Will I eventually think of something clever? And then last night someone tweeted me!!! Seriously I was much too exciting about it than I should admit. (Thanks Deanne) It was like my very first blog comment!

Do you tweet? Are you a twitter-er? I put a button on my sidebar. Follow me - Tweet me - Help ME! I'm a Twit @kjonestoa

  1. So sorry, I haven't a clue about tweeting. I would tweet you. I just can't take one more bit of social media. :)
You already get way more junk from me than is good for one person. :)

  2. Me too Kim,I'm the same as Kim H. I have more media than I can handle and I don't even do Pinterest or even watch DA. I haven't been doing well on blogger lately either. Wishing you all kind of Tweeters followers.
    Take care,
    Hugs,
    JB

  3. Sorry but the only "tweeting" I will be doing is when I talk to the birds! Carl Sandburg called TV the thief of time. He didn't even know about Facebook, Pinterest and blogs!
    Have fun.

  5. Tweeting?!!! Haaaaa...I'm still trying to understand this blogging thing. And I couldn't agree with you more...This HASHTAG thing is everywhere...that's all you hear lately. I didn't know what it was either...but with me I think it's all about the Age. Enjoy your new adventure.

  12. I'm with you on hash tags. Please explain it to us if you figure it out.

I had a Twitter account for about two weeks when it first started. I had loads of friends I didn't know and frankly found the things they were saying boring and not worth my time, so I dropped off. Maybe I don't get it? Maybe I don't care.

  13. No tweeting here either, got rid of Facebook (hated it!). I'm just not that 'social' grumbles old recluse Pat.
Just can't spend any more time on this puter.

Hope you have fun with it! I know a lot of people do.

  16. I tried twitter and there was so much to keep up with I just about lost my mind. I can only take so much social media - and I definitely never had anything witty and clever to say lol.
