Forced and coerced

It was terrible! Tonight I was forced to participate in the most unpleasant thing. A Wine and Cheesecake tasting event and the Pub. The 3 lovely conspirators practically kidnapped me at gunpoint ;)

I must say their crime was well timed. We've had 2 virtually sleepless nights. By this morning the "compassion train" had left the Station! I was not a happy camper.

But then there was this

Quesadilla and wine. Then we were presented with a cheesecake sampler plate (and more wine)

Key Lime, Vanilla Bean, Raspberry, Double Chocolate. Ironically presented in my order of preference!

Then the Jost WineryRep came around with samples. Our favorite, and the one that created the most discussion was this one.......

The wine is named 4skin.........Seriously! Apparently the winery sent Jay Leno a case and he had a few jokes about the name on his show. Gee, jokes about that name? ......shocking!

  8. The whole night sounded like just what you needed and deserve. I admire how well you care for your mother and aunt. It might seem normal and routine to you, but it is security and love to them. Pat yourself on the back, there are millions of nieces, daughters, and sons that wouldn't take the time or effort. Odd name for wine, I bet its a big seller!

  9. Now I understand, your sweet friends knew you needed a mission of Mercy. I am so glad you got to get out and enjoy yourself.
I hope it gets easier soon.

  10. Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry for you to have been put through such undignified tortures.
I hope that you got a good look at your kidnappers and can point them out in the line up because I sure would like to put my hands on them. The wine you were forced to drink sure had a strange name, but you're lucky it wasn't called Circumcision. No wonder it caused such a stir.

I hope that you can get some sleep.
    Stay safe and warm
    Hugs,
    JB

  11. Good Morning Kim, You deserved a night out even if it was a wine and cheesecake tasting party. I know how hard it is to be the primary caregiver and if they don't sleep, you don't either. I appreciate your visits and want you to know that I have included you and your family on my prayer list. It is what helps see us through the days. I don't twit, but my grandson thinks I should learn to text. I just say grandma is to old. Take time for me and do what you like because you have to stay well. Many Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

    I truly feel for you...
Kudos to your sweet friends for getting you out. Nursing can take it's toll, for sure!
