TGIF
Friday at last. This week, and February in general, has been long. But the weekend's here! My friends (you know, those "terrible" people that forced me out Wednesday) - well, they "made" me go out for Happy Hour after work. It's become a regular Friday thing and I missed last week. Nachos, glass of wine and a spicy quesadillas for take- out. Home by 6pm is the rule. You know, so we don't look like bar flies. Lol Now there's nothing left to do but curl up for the weekend and rest.
Mom is doing well. Yesterday was our last daily nursing visit. They don't come back again until Monday. So that's a great sign. Sleeping through the night is still an issue but we are muddling through.
I'm finally ready to start hooking now. As soon as I get a few strips in place I'll post a picture. Now it's just a piece of burlap with a few black lines ;)

Glad to hear your mom is doing well. Not sure why she is having trouble sleeping at night though. It is hard to get comfortable though so that is probably why she can't sleep. The meds just knocked me out though. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that your Mom is doing better and that your friends are so good to you. It makes the rough spots more manageable. You have an early curfew, lol...
ReplyDeleteI haven't picked up my hook yet. So much stuff to go through before I leave.
I've got to be at the airport for 6:00 AM. Monday morning. Luckily, the airport is only a few minutes from here.
Have a wooly wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
JB

ReplyDeleteHi Kim, I will continue to say prayers for your mom's improvement. You deserve the Friday night out with the girls. I haven't worked the last two days because of the weather. They have shoved my driveway and the city plowed the street again afterwards filling the end of my drive with snow. I have to get out tomorrow to get my taxes figured. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteThis month always confirms my favorite saying: "Shortest line, longest wait"..Shortest month..goes on forever! But it's over next week and next Friday when you're enjoying a night out it will actually be March...things are looking up since March also brings Spring! Glad your Mom is recouping nicely and I hope she can get some rest..you too! Have a good weekend..I'm also glad it's Friday!
