Say it isn't so
Well, last nights Downton Abbey was a downer! Poor Matthew. To finally get the girl of his dreams, and the male heir at last, to be cruising down the country road with a "King of the World" smile, only to get killed in a car crash......What's up with that?? Sigh
At least it might wipe that foolish smile off Isobel for a few episodes. Is it just me or did anyone else want to smack her at the Fair? Now there's 2 babies at the Abbey with one parent. Maybe Mary and Branson will hook up in their combined grief......Now that would be an interesting twist! It seems like a long time to wait for Season 4
I've finished 4 dish cloths and while surfing this afternoon I found a cute free doodle that I think will make a cute little rug. Time to find a piece of linen and try to draw it out. Seems like forever since I hooked anything.
P.S. we slept again last night. Yippee. If things go well tonight, I'm back to work tomorrow :)

Pioneer Woman has a whole page today about Downton. It just feels good to talk about it finally. I thought I was going to die that night when I saw that episode, I didn't sleep or anything.
ReplyDeleteI am over it now thankfully.
I hope your storm is over and I hope you get to sleep tonight too. I am glad you drew out a new rug.
I haven't seen the show but it sounds like I'm going to have to try to see it! I'm so glad that you and your mom got some sleep last night!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH! I just finished watching the last episode 20 minutes ago and I can't believe they friggin killed off someone else. It wasn't as bad this time, cuz I had a feeling it was coming, plus I liked Sybil better, but good night this show is killing my emotions. I don't know what they're going to do with season 4... and I'm not sure I even want to watch it!
ReplyDeleteOn a brighter note, I'm so glad you got to sleep again! Yay!
Isobel does somehow come off as self righteous, doesn't she?
ReplyDeleteOh I will miss Matthew!
oh I was yelling at the TV for Matthew to slow down.
ReplyDeleteIt left me with an awful feeling. You are right a long time until next season. you know Mary will start becoming power hungry because she has the heir to Downton.
on another note so glad there is sleep in your house.
Cathy
It's a long time 'til January *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI have to start watching season one. I think I am the only person on the planet who hasn't watched Downton Abbey. Glad to hear you had another good nights rest.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, glad to read your mum is improving. I hope everyone enjoys a good night's sleep again this evening. As far as Downton Abbey goes, why Matthew? I have a love hate relationship with Mary, and Cousin Rose, ugh, drives me crazy!!! Greetings from Maine, Julie.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, I too am glad your moms improving after surgery.Downton Abbey was this a quick season or what? As for Mary she can be so snobby. It seems like just when you start watching a series they end. Have a good night, Cheri
ReplyDeleteSo glad your Mom is sleeping and doing good. It should get better each day. Last night I was so bummed too! I love Matthew! He's the only one with any sense in that family. (Yes, I know it's only fiction!) Now I see cousin Rose with Tom because she's a free spirit like Sybil was...Mary's too stuck in her ways to be with a commoner.
ReplyDeleteoh but Downton is such a good show to watch! I knew he was leaving the show...just wondering how it was join g to happen...
ReplyDeleteand yea for sleep!!!
GAH! I'm only in Season 2 and now you've just depressed me beyond belief! Matthew is my favorite character... You need to label these posts with a spoiler alert for those of us who are a season behind!
ReplyDeleteHooRay for a good night's sleep!
ReplyDeleteVery sad indeed!!
ReplyDeleteYay for sleep!! Hope yu got to go to work today and start getting back to "normal" ~ whatever that is!!!! Thinking of you
ReplyDeleteSadly it is so! I stupidly read a spoiler so I knew ahead of time that something was going to happen as the actor decided it was time to move on to other ventures *sigh* A lot like life I guess, another sigh! Yay for a good night's sleep, I wish I could get one of those...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
