Except for a tiny but very necessary shovel job. The drifts were far too high for Millie. I had to make a little hole for for her "to go"
This afternoon I watched Moonstruck with Cher and Nic Cage. An oldie but entertaining. I finished binding the rug
And then treated myself to a glass of wine and made homemade pizza for supper.
Now I've picked up the knitting needles for awhile.
Although I'm dreading the snow clean up tomorrow, today was kind of relaxing. Nowhere to go, a warm house, good food, a little red wine. Restful!
I hope the rest of you in the storms path enjoyed your day.

Let it storm outside, sounds very comfy cozy inside, Stay safe, Francine.
ReplyDeleteHomemade pizza sounds perfect for a snowy evening's supper!
ReplyDeleteKim, Good for you, your rug is complete! Let me tell ya I didn't think the snow was ever going to end. There are some pretty impressive snow drifts out there. Hope you have someone to help you get dug out, it took me an hour just to do my car! Pizza with a glass of wine, in my book a perfect winter's meal, but don't forget the chocolate. Stay safe, hugs to Millie, Julie.
ReplyDeleteLove your rug ~ you did a great job on the words ~
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rug as always you amaze me with your pieces.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe your snow is that high. OMGosh what would I do in such weather since I don't know how to hook or knit. lol
Just thinking of you and wanted to come by and see how you are.
Homemade pizza sounds so good. Glad you had some wine to go with it.
Love ya

ReplyDeleteGreat finish on your rug. I'm sure the bids will be many and high :)
It sounds like you made the best of a very snowy day. Have a glass of wine for me.
Hugs :)
Lauren
I think the weather forecasters here are very disappointed that we just ended up with "some" snow that was over by this morning. Careful digging out tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got to relax and sit around today! Sometimes it's nice not having a choice to go somewhere. Your rug is beautiful!
ReplyDeletePoor Millie! I'm sure she isn't happy with having to go in that snow like that! We had a spring like day today with sunny skies. Winter has forgotten us in West Virginia! Well, in my neck of the woods that is... Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteYour rug is beautiful. I love old movies, it's a good thing cause there are very few new ones I care to see. Be careful digging out tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMoonstruck has been on HBO for a while now and I watch it every time. I love when Loretta yells "Snap out of it!" I hope you don't have to shovel all by yourself. There is just so much snow. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteI love your finished rug! hope the snow ends soon, perhaps a day off from work?
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of making a homemade pizza for us tonight-sounds like a nice cozy weekend-hugs
Your finished rug is so cute but I'm wondering if the East coast is loving those "butterflies" today! Hope you continue to stay warm and safe and your day sounded very restful..sort of a "time out" given by Mother Nature!
ReplyDeleteWe have had very little snow here in the NC mountains. It's been a very long time since we have had a huge snow. It sounded and felt like spring here yesterday. Birds singing and flower bulbs coming up.
ReplyDeleteThe wine and pizza is perfect for a snowed in day!
Stay warm and cozy this weekend.
Louise
It all sounds lovely until clean up It looks like you much more than we did. Stay safe and find a kid to shovel
ReplyDeleteCathy
Only rain here which you don't have to shovel. I am glad you are all safe.
ReplyDeletePizza and wine! The perfect answer to a snow storm.. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect way to spend the day. I hope it stops snowing.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.
Aww, look at what little Milly left you in the newly dug Porta Potty, hahaha... I'm sure she appreciated your valiant efforts. You are such a good mama to that little girl.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get as much snow and I'm not sure how much we got as it's all drifts here and there. The storm is over and I glad.
I hope that you got some help to dig yourself out and I'm glad that you had some new project on the way. I still need to go buy that pink yarn for the survivor scarf. I'll probably will find some time to knit while in ottawa, hopefully.
Hope the sun is shining at your place today. The storm is over for now.
HUgs,
JB
