Snow for sale

I've got snow for sale. Any offers? I'll negotiate and give it away for free......No takers? Well, Crap.
I wish I could say this was my last post about weather whining but you know that's not gonna happen! We got lots of snow and wind but we survived. We've had much worse, but I think you're more of a worry-wart when someone is sick in the house.
I worried about keeping the yard and entrances clear, you know, just in case we needed to get out.
I started shoveling this morning early. Here's the back entrance. Note the compost bin (still buried)

I dug out both cars. The front of my car was almost clear but the back end was completely covered. Stupid drifts. The front walkway was waist high. Yes, really!

I only did a very narrow path, but it still took awhile. Made even worse because my boots filled with snow while I scaled the bank. Ahh, winter fun.

I'm watching a little Grammy Red Carpet before Downton and finishing knitting the pink scarf. I'm trying not to dread Monday morning because this is a short work week for me.

I'd be whining, too. Wine, er I mean whine all you want. We're good listeners.
Yeah for you a short work week! Those are always good.
    Hugs :)

  4. Man, that looks like a ton of work shoveling all that white stuff! I've been complaining all winter, but this post makes me ashamed! We have not had it as bad as you guys have. Stay warm and safe and I would think an enterprising young man might be interested in shoveling..if so, hire him!

  5. You must have a very strong back. That's a lot of shoveling. So much snow and no where to put it. The snow banks are soooo big. Have a great week!

  6. Wow, you've had quite a workout and deserve a rest and some red carpet action!! I can tell you are not the fainthearted type if you are able to dig all that out on your own!! I am also watching the Grammys and just mentioned you in my post for tomorrow. Still thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way!

  7. That is absolutely more snow than I have ever seen at once! Of course, I live in the "sunny South," and even a light dusting brings excitement here. I send good wishes to you as you begin a work week. Stay safe and warm!

  11. You did get lot more snow than us but I'm not jealous at all.
Sorry that you had to dig out from all that snow but I bet your cheeks are nice and rosy.

At least, the sun was shining and it was warmer today. You need to but a flame thrower to melt down all that snow.

    Enjoy your Downton Abbey show.

    Hugs,
    JB

  12. You're going to need another massage after shoveling all that snow. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice most of the women looked on the red carpet at the Grammies. I'm thinking about you this week and praying everything goes well with your Mom.

  16. Hi Kim, wow all that snow! I love snow but not shoveling it or being in the bitter cold that comes with it sometimes. We have about a foot of snow on the ground here.

Sorry that I have not been around. We have no internet at home and I have to come to the library to check emails and be here. It is hard to get here because our car is also grounded so I have to walk and take the bus.

Please let me know what you have been up to ok? My time is limited on the library computer so I can't stay to read your posts. I hope all is well and that the wind goes away and that, if you don't want anymore snow, that is won't snow. :)

    Miss you..take care, Janet W

  17. Oh my goodness I can't even imagine. And here I'm complaining about the rain (it's been raining for a month down here)....

We also had tornadoes on Sunday, and Hattiesburg, MS got hit really hard (we were driving through it on our way home from New Orleans)....
