This and that

I feel more boring than usual this weekend. The truth is I tried to hook as much as I could to finish the Tumbling Pumpkins rug so I could get it listed. I have a short window of opportunity left to try and sell it this year.

And I finished it! Very fun pattern to hook. But all of Maria Barton's patterns are fun.

It's currently in my Etsy shop. And if it doesn't sell right away I can use it in the Downtown Fibre Arts Walk for our October Fiber Arts Festival. So it's win-win either way. (But selling it would be better)

Now I'm watching the Emmy's. Kind of boring, nothing scandalous has happened so far.
Tomorrow night I have to work. It's our last Council meeting in our current Town Hall. We are moving soon. More on that soon, but it is exciting!

Are you still here? I warned you I've been boring this week :)
I even resorted to cleaning out the freezer this afternoon. You wouldn't believe the crap I found at the bottom. I should have taken a picture of this but was too embarrassed. But here it is.....I found a package of pork chops dated......2007. Oh my gawd!!

Tomorrow night Dancing With The Stars starts again. Woohoo. My one reality show addiction!
Have a great week.

  2. Kim,
What a wonderful rug! That should fly out of your Etsy shop in a flash! It would also be a very fun rug to display in a Fiber Arts festival! Wish we had something like that here.
Hope your week goes well...... sounds like you have some excitement ahead!!
...... don't you hate cleaning the freezer! I think I better go check in the bottom of mine.... LOL!!
    Hugs!

  4. Great job on that fun rug Kim, I too love that purple pumpkin. I agree with Cathy, your Tumbling Pumpkins should fly out of your Etsy shop in a flash. It's very eye catching.

A 2007 package of pork chops ... that's should be worth a lot of money by now. I wonder how much the price of pork chops was back then. lol. On the other hand, it goes to show how fast time fly when you're having fun hooking. Your post is NOT boring at all. I love it.

    Hugs.

  5. I totally love that rug!! I never think you are boring. At least yours had a date, I bet if I dug around some of that stuff would be petrified in my freezer.
You never said anything about moving offices. How exciting.
Well have a nice Monday, I hope it is stress free.
    Bye for now,

  6. Now I like that Kim.

I have a question - I have been looking at blog decorations - like yours. Every time I put one on - they go on - but they start below the header. Yours starts at the top of the blog and your header is included in it. Would you know any thing to help? Just asking.

  7. Yes - that purple pumpkin makes the whole rug! Good job. I've been having a week like yours - very blah.

  8. Kim, Gotta love somebody who admits to what is in the bottom of their freezer. Made me chuckle out loud.Been there, done that and did admit to it but it must have been to the wrong people, they looked at me with disgust. It was nothing all that bad either.

  10. Hi Kim, that is a very happy festive rug, I think it is one of my favorites that you have hooked. Speaking of hooking, I just brought out of storage my little Fall mat which you hooked and lucky me I won. Now back to DWTS, and getting caught up on my blog reading. Hugs, Julie.

  11. If I decorated for Halloween, THIS is the rug I would want! I love the colours - in kindergarten, our youngest (and most creative) daughter's teacher was very worried because she painted her pumpkin purple. She just thought orange pumpkins were too normal :-)

  12. The rug looks great with loads of pretty colors. I was a huge DWTS fan until I started watching the Voice.

  13. Kim ~
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your rug. Maria's patterns are the best. I am contemplating taking a class with her the beginning of November. She is just the sweetest hooker you will ever meet!
    I just love your honesty!!!
    Pug hugs :)

  17. Ok...this is my most favorite rug of yours so far. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Yes, it has something to do with the fact that it's Halloween-ish - but, oh my heck!! The colors your chose - and the hooking - are PERFECT!! How can you possibly sell this??? Robin
