I started the bottom pumpkin and soon realized I may not have enough orange wool. I contemplated keeping going and crossing my fingers. But having learned this lesson the hard way, I saved this piece to use for matching.
I moved on to pumpkin #2. I'm still undecided how to hook his mouth. So for now I'm leaving it until I get a flash of inspiration.
This is such a fun pattern. I have to work tomorrow night so pumpkin 3 will have to wait.

the one hooked is so cute. I know about running out.
ReplyDeleteI have run out of back ground in the rug I have been hooking a long long long time. Now it bothers me I didn't mesure correctly.
but I am forging on and it is what it is.

ReplyDeleteHow can anyone not love this time of year? The decor is always fun and colorful and I think your rug will be so cute when it's done. Too bad you have to work...work always gets in the way of life, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks great. Can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteI love the fall colors and can't wait to see them here in Northern Utah. We are having cooler nights but the days are still too hot for me. Patience Janet...lol
Have a great week Kim. Take care, Janet W
Kim, your on a roll. You might have to go visit Deanne shop for more fall color wool. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole pumpkin rug.
ReplyDeleteIt was 8 degree C. this morning ( 46.4) F. It won't be long before there will be frost on the pumpkin...
Sorry that you have to work tonight. Hopefully you'll find time to hook tomorrow.
Hugs. JB
Your rugs always look so nice. I love that orange piece of wool. I can't wait to see it. I think I know what tumbling pumpkins look like.
ReplyDeleteI hope your Monday is nice and quiet. I know it never happens, but I do hope you do.
Kim it is going to be darling! I have your Fall leaves on my new coffee table. Izzy, remember her, she destroyed the old coffee table!
ReplyDeleteOh it's going to be lovely! Love this time of year!

ReplyDeleteI love Maria's designs....The "confetti" pumpkin is adorable. As for that orange....well, I wouldn't say it was "too orange" as you said, but maybe not orange enough? Can't wait to see what you changed it out to.....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
