I've miscalculated

Yup, I'm in trouble.  I have been operating under the assumption that I have this weekend AND next weekend to get ready.   And about 10:30am this morning I looked closely at the calendar and immediately broke out into a cold sweat.....

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?  IT'S DECEMBER 16th?  OH.MY.GAWD...........

Perhaps I need an Advent Calendar to keep me on track

Or better yet, one like this (to help me forget the date)

I walked around a store tonight like one of those zombie shoppers you see and immediately feel sorry for.   I'm one of them now.

The next few days will NOT be pretty

  3. I know...can't believe Christmas is just over a week away. :(

I will be going to see mom at the nursing home. Other than that we will have a quiet time. We will remember the Reason for the season. And the eternal blessings He brings.

    Have a wonderfully blessed Christmas.
    Take care, Janet W

  4. I work better under pressure and somehow get everything done at the last minute. You'll get her done..... Next Monday the days are starting to get longer, at least, that's a good thing.

This year I'm a little busier than usual. Blog is suffering. No decorations yet, no baking yet but I have my recipes on standby..., house needs tiding up, gifts still need to be bought but I got my turkey... I've got the Christmas music on and I'm loving the anticipation of seeing my grandkids arriving on the weekend. Got another calf late this afternoon, my 17th since November.

    Hugs,
    JB

  7. Kim,
How come Christmas always falls on December 25, but every year it seems to get here sooner?

    Hugs :)

  9. I was such a zombie shopper today -- and a friend was with me so it was kind of embarrassing! If I don't make a detailed list I am lost and overwhelmed! Unfortunately, I don't just wanna shop, cook and clean, I wanna paint rooms in my house and redecorate some things before Christmas as well. Probably not realistic at this point! Best of luck - you can do it!
