I was waiting

I guess I was waiting for something exciting to happen - something blog worthy.  But since that hasn't happened I decided to post anyway.    I did manage to squeeze in a hair color and a massage.   Other than that, I just worked and hooked some more on the Colonial Williamsburg pattern.  It's all hooked and is waiting for the binding (groan).

I am going to start that part tomorrow. And I am going to make her a little apron to attach to her dress. Well, that's the plan for now.

Spring weather has arrived and the leaves have finally popped out on the trees and shrubs.  A few nice sunny days in a row was all we needed.  Yesterday and today were gorgeous.  Lawn chairs on the back deck with a coffee and a book.  I dug out a tank top and a pair of shorts and discovered something terrible......

My shorts seem to be a wee bit more snug than last year.   Uh oh!!  I tried to blame it on the clothes dryer for shrinking them but I don't think anyone is buying that story.

  1. I think the never ending winter made all of our cloths shrink. :-)

  2. Hi Kim, it's OK... you can always buy some new shorts. Your little rug turned out nicely.

We're having rain today and it's supposed to rain all week except Wednesday is supposed to be cloudy.

I just blew out part of my blog accidentally. I still have all the posts and pictures in my Google email accounts and every comments are still in the emails but I'm not sure what I can do to restore my blog as it was...

    Have a good week.

  3. I am so glad you had a beautiful day today. Aw well, you might just need some new shorts. :)
I love your rug!!! It is so cute, I would like to see it when you do get the little apron on. You do such nice hooking Kim.

  4. Glad to hear spring in finally arriving! It's about darn time.
    Hugs :)

  5. Sounds like a good weekend. I love your rug.

  6. I think the clothes were in storage too long and that helped them shrink as well!

  7. nothing much exciting happens here often. Except we did have a flood the other day.

  8. Yeah, I found out that more than Spring had busted out all over here at the Pines...I'm thinking only water for about a month might make my clothes grow again. Your rug is pretty cute! Can't believe the weekend is over already..darn it.

  9. Heck...sometimes ordinary everyday living is all the excitement we can handle reading about! ~grin~

  10. Ah yes... the "winter fluff" as I call it! ;-) I've got me some of that too! lol! Since everything looks better with a tan... a few more weekends on the back patio with coffee should do the trick! :-) Seriously... sunshine and warm weather fixes everything!

  11. My dryer does that all the time!

  12. I do believe clothes shrink during their out-of-season storage time. It sounds like you've had a good week-end, regardless. xo
