Pay it Forward

Pay it Forward

is popping up on all kinds of blogs today.

Lauren over at Rugs and Pugs is participating and inspired me to follow suit.  Also Courtney
at Sassafrass and Winterberry is participating.   Visit their great sites too.
It sounds like such a great idea.

Here's how it works . . .

The first five people who comment on this blog post
will receive a handmade gift from me.

In return, you must write a blog post on your blog
explaining Pay It Forward 2011.

You, in turn, will send out a handmade gift to the first five visitors
who leave a comment on your post.

I love this idea.  The whole concept of Paying it Forward is something we try to do in our home.  My grandmother instilled this in all of us.  She used to say if you put good things out in the world that they will someday come back to you.

As Lauren said - no pressure - just a simple gesture.  Let's have fun with it.

  1. I'm sitting here laughing because I noticed no one has bitten yet...I don't even make homemade things, except maybe food..but I'm up for the challenge. I'll post on Monday and see what happens! I love the pay it forward idea. We need so much more kindness in today's world. Thanks for the challenge..however the "evil" YaYa is thinking..."no good dead goes unpunished"..shame on her! Let's have some fun Kim!

  2. Kim,
I love that mantra of paying it forward; did you see the movie? Ahhh, what a great one! I often try to do such gestures but it really was nice to be reminded of such~
Have a blessed weekend my dear!

  3. Great idea and it could be fun to see the interesting treasures that come in the mail...it's always fun to see what arrives!! In a day where we have had tsunami's and earthquakes devastating our world...it's good to think about something NICE!!

  5. Hi Kim I have been "lurking" here for awhile. I am a transplanted Nova Scotian. I really am hungry for all thinks Nova Scotia. I enjoy your sense of humour and can hear your "acccent" in your writing. I do not have a blog but will pay it forward through my facebook page.
Thanks for your humour and insight.
