Post Holiday Bliss
The hustle and bustle is over and all that is left to do is enjoy these remaining vacation days. I had a lovely Christmas with Auntie. I think we've spent more time together the last week than we have in the last year. Our relationship has had its challenges so this was especially a nice time for us.
Now it's time for me to nest for a few days and recharge. This evening I decided it was time to start to put the house back in order. The Christmas decorations are all put away for another year. Except for my ceramic Christmas tree. It still makes me happy so it will stick around for a bit longer.
I've been spending a lot of time like this
We have had a couple of small snowfalls and some sub-zero temperatures so there is nothing better than fuzzy socks and warm pj's . Abby is mimicking my relaxation mode
A few more days off work, a few more pj wearing days and I think I'll be ready to meet 2016

ReplyDeleteThe picture of the hot chocolate cup/tub gingerman makes me want to crawl into some chocolate myself! Enjoy your vacation...can you really believe this year is almost done? I can't!
ReplyDeleteoh how cozy it looks I am over this winter thing. Glad you had a nice holiday. I am back to work for a couple of days and then 3 days off. Looks like abbey is enjoying having you home.

That is how I spent my day, comfy jammies, tv and a rug hooking project, fun to just have a do nothing day but relax and create.

Happy Last of 2015 Girlfriend... Glad to hear your Christmas was as enjoyable as it was.... For the first time in two years, I put up decorations, had some family over, and tried to make merry. My mom was here, but not...I'm sure you know what I'm talking about... So it was melancholy and happy all at the same time. I have all my decorations up...and up they will stay for a few days (weeks?) as I can finally now sit down and enjoy them for myself (and need to wait till the Mr. leaves in the morning to listen to the Christmas tunes I couldn't enjoy earlier). Hope you enjoy your downtime...and that your new year is filled with everything your heart desires.... Smiles & Holiday Hugs ~ Robin

ReplyDeleteMaybe there is such a thing as Pyjama Day because James declared the Day after Christmas was a Pyjamas Day, lol...
You look pretty cosy and warm with Abbey by your side.
We got lots of snow with two storm side by side. I'm done with winter... just wishing... Enjoy your vacation.
Happy New Year.
Hugs,
JB
Love your sheep jammies and fuzzy socks. You look comfy for sure. Yup, enjoy these last wonderful days of vacation and how better to face the new year than totally relaxed and recharged.
ReplyDeleteOur cold weather is on the way & I can't wait! Not sub-zero (thank goodness!) but cold enough to wrap up in a blanket!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds so nice. I am glad you have some more time to enjoy your holidays.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so cozy. I hope you have a very Happy New Year!
Hi Kim, I am trying to catch up with some more of my friends. We started with rain, sleet, and snow and more snow, but we were lucky about the quantity that we received. Where has the time gone? so fast. It is only 22 and at night we have been in the teens. I have enjoyed catching up with you. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend
ReplyDeleteVacation again? Lucky you! Enjoy every minute of it.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you and Auntie had some quality time.
Health and happiness to you in the new year.
Hugs :)

I'm in the process of taking the decorations down and putting them away. I like getting things back in order but the house seems "naked" without them. I feel like I just put them up!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and enjoy your vacation snuggling with Abby!
Morning Kim, sounds perfect to me, enjoy!!!!! Happy New Year wishes, Francine...
ReplyDeleteAh, comfy and cozy...warm and toasty...love those jammy bottoms...Happy New Year to you...
