Tuesday tidbits

I'm over halfway through my work week.  One day left and then 5 glorious days off.   I noticed a spring in my step today.  A little pre-vacation attitude perhaps.  Millie always has attitude.  I found this picture on Facebook and it summed up her attitude.


If this dog was silver I would swear it was her!

Mom started going to adult day care twice a week now.  She seems to enjoy it and l think it is good for her to be around other people.  Today they made a cute turkey centerpiece today.  And then when I was bringing her home and trying to get her jacket off, she sat on it.  Oops.  

I have started hooking the background on my rug.  I think I've made a mistake.  I don't think the light background is working.  


I may rethink it and go for a darker beige.  I'm putting the hook down tonight to consider my options while I watch our provincial election results.

    How wonderful that you have five days off work to anticipate! I always enjoyed a bit of a break in the fall.

    You lucky girl to get a mini vacation this time of year.
    I was thinking that the bird was a crow, but then what do I know. If the bird was black, the beige background would work I think.

    Did you checked Rug Hooking Daily today? Simone was giving a tutorial on how to do a herringbone finish on a round mat. I wonder if it might work for my irregular rug edge.

    Exciting -- pre-vacation time!! Also, adult day care was a lifesaver for us and my mom when she was living with us!! Maybe next time we can see a picture of her project!!

    Hi Kim, Enjoy those days off. This is the time of the year that we always loved to travel. We enjoyed see all of the beautiful fall colors. I am not ready for the snow to come in the future, but I love the cool temperatures then warming up to where you have a beautiful afternoon. I am glad your mom is enjoying the adult day care.     Sometimes I struggle after I have hooked a piece. I was actually hooking tonight.yea!I am hoping to be done with it this week.I bet your mom is enjoying a new routine.hugs cheri
