Simply Sunday
Another weekend is winding down. Cooler temps today and some rain showers so a perfect indoor day. I did get my reading done this morning. I will say, it was mind numbing. Lol. This is one of those courses I won't enjoy, just have to get through it.
And I actually (you might want to sit down) ...I actually bound a couple of rugs. Yes, I said a couple - that's two!! Remember I said I wanted to do a whipped edge but couldn't find my whipping yarn? Well, I dropped the phone behind the sofa and found the yarn. Lol. Sad but true.
Here there are, all bound and hung in my hooking room
I do love a whipped edge even though it takes so much time
In other exciting (?) news, Miss Abby lost a tooth!
So the tooth fairy brought her a new bunny
Another busy work week ahead and a cursed homework assignment due. Thankful to have a job but wishing the 4 day work week would catch on. Lol. Have a great week folks

Congratulations for getting two rugs bounded and hung. I don't think I'll ever get my hooked rugs bounded. There never seems to be enough time.
ReplyDeleteIt rained in Ottawa yesterday.
I'll have so much to do when I get back home to catch up. Hopefully some day i'll be able to bind and whip all those rugs. I'll still have my 7 day job waiting for me.
Abby looks like she really loves her new bunny. Have a good week.
Hugs,
JB
You got two rugs done!!! That is incredible. I think they looks wonderful hung. I am with you, I think the bound edge looks best too. I am so glad the tooth fairy brought a new bunny. I hope you have a lovely week. Since Fall is on Wednesday, I am so relieved.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like that edge! Isn't it wonderful when you finish-finish a project? Not that it happens very often at my house. LOL
ReplyDeleteAbby looks happy with her new bunny friend. When George, my rottie was a puppy, I gave him cute, little toys. He ate them. LOL The only thing that has lasted was a nylon bone. When he picks it up, we say that he's sharpening his teeth.
If there was a vote, I'd go with the four day work week, too. LOL
Dear Kim, It's been so long since I've been a regular blogger that I just spent 30 minutes going back, back, back, over your posts to find out where Millie was. I'm sooooo very sorry to hear that she is gone - but very glad that you now have a cute little bundle to love. Abby looks like a wonderful little friend! apologize for not keeping up - there's been a lot on my plate this year with family, and I feel like I'm just coming up for air. I appreciate your kind words on my blog about my dad. I do miss him a lot, and it's hard to watch Mom trying to get on with things without him. But we'll get the hang of it eventually, I imagine. I'm glad for your new little Abby, and I'm happy that you're still doing your rugs. I'll try to check in more regularly - carry on!
ReplyDeleteYAYYYYY !!!! Love your rugs!
ReplyDeleteYAYYYY!!! Tooth Fairy did a fun thing. :) Cute bunny and it looks like Abby thinks so too. So cute. :)
Take care , Janet W
Your rugs look great. The whipped edges are so neat looking! You done good!
ReplyDeleteDid you find the tooth? This may sound crazy but I have a little jar with teeth saved from my kitties and puppies. I think I'll donate them to a museum. Ha-ha!
The tooth fairy must really like Miss Abby.
love your rugs It has been a eon since I finished a rug. Good luck with your class I would love to work 4 10 hour days and have a 3 day weekend.
ReplyDeleteCathy
Love the HOOK rug! I also really like your fall theme!
ReplyDeleteLast year I though we would work a 4 day week for the summer but it was vetoed by the administration :(
ReplyDeleteLove your rugs. I have two big ones needing binding from ages ago. Interested? A hooker can hope...
Hugs :)
