This little mat is approx. 12 x 12 and I am amazed at how quickly it is hooking up. I dug out my #8 cutterhead for the background. Now I can't remember why I put that #8 away - I love it. I will be leaving it in my cutter for awhile.
I think I have my mojo back. I still have some room left on the end of this burlap. Any suggestions for the next little 12 x 12 project ?
Hi kim it looks great. Why don't you do a Christmas tree or a Christmas theme.I have been so busy working on hooking and stockings.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, I love your new little Christmas mat. It's a real cute design and the wool is gorgeous. I think that you should draw one of those little floating angel with the horn. I always wanted to make one of those but the way things are going around here lately, I'll grow a mustache before that happens.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you got your hooking Mojo back.

ReplyDeleteSo glad the hooking mojo is back! Sweet little mat. How about a snow person for the leftover backing???
If you think an 8 cut is great, go bigger. You'll love it even more.
Pug hugs :)

I love your rug! I will be glad when life gets back to normal and I can hook and be home again. I would dig out some cookie cutters for inspiration. how about one of Millie!

You did such a nice job. I like the 8 you used for the background.
ReplyDeleteIt looks really nice. I like that you draw so well.
I wish I could think of something for you to hook.
I am having the same problem.
Ok...I'm trying to stay away from blogging a bit and do what I gotta do - but you cut me to the quick. First...I don't think I'll ever be posting another of my hooked projects again. Compared to your meticulous hooking, I might as well hang up my hook. And you think an 8 is large??? What the heck have you been hooking with??? I give up. I'm not even gonna LOOK for my mojo - cuz I don't think I ever had any to begin with! (Seriously - love the new mat....Hmmmm....I'd do, perhaps, a simple partridge with a pear branch.....) ;o) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteCan we say 'perfect loop height'? I love that mat...especially the rosy tone of it! I'd say your mojo was back and I'm so thrilled! I have really only hooked in 8...maybe it's time I branched out!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in this mat and my goodness Lady you do know how to hook evenly..
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, I came to your blog from rugs and pugs. I like the idea of a pear tree/partridge. I recently came across an amazing resource for simple designs--it's a blog with 'coloring book' images for all sorts of occasions. http://coloringsheets.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
This is so pretty. You're doing a great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim ...love the Christmas mat ....your are doing a wonderful job on it ...

Wow Kim!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that mat! I like your colors and such nice hooking! Isn't it a good feeling to be hooking again after some time away!
I am hooking some simple things for this show I'm doing and it's nice to be able to actually get something hooked and completed!
Looks like you're in the Christmas mood so maybe some little coasters with Christmas colors...... a gift perhaps!
Keep on hookin!

I gotta say I'm really impressed. I've never tried (dare I say) "hooking!" Just saying that cracks me up. Anyway, you do a beautiful job. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI am into owls right now and am hooking a small mat that may turn into a pillow. I made quilly eyes - rolling black and white wool felt. I need to stat hooking some Christmas ornaments for gifts. That is something quick and easy you can do with your "worms."
ReplyDeleteLove it! I so want to learn to do this, I have everything and a kit, just can't figure where to start!
ReplyDeleteSend some Mojo this way.
