A chat with Wendell

I'm going to join in again with Everyday Ruralty's Chats on the Porch.  Our usual hostess Patrice is taking a little break and has handed off responsibility to her handsome and charming friend, Wendell the horse.

Here are the questions this week.

  1. What's your favorite kind of chili?
I happen to think I make the best chili.  Nothing fancy, but lots of meat, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms and spicy.  And then add a little more spice :)

2.   What do you usually do when you feel a cold coming on?

I thought I was coming down with a cold last night.  I made tea with honey and went to bed early.  I don't really have any special home-style remedy but if you have any - let me know.

3.   Rice, potatoes, or pasta?

Potatoes, potatoes, potatoes - any way

4.   What kind of camera do you use?

I use a Canon Rebel SLR.  I'm dreaming of added a wide angle lens this year.

5.  Are you a night owl or an early bird?

I've always been a night owl.  However, as I get older I do appreciate the quiet of early mornings.

  1. Wow I didn't know you had a SLR Cool!! I like that you like potatoes.
I could eat them all of the time.
I wish you were here to cook dinner. I am supposed to be doing that instead of being on the computer. :)

  4. Love spicy chili, and I think that tea and honey and plenty of rest is a good way to fight off a cold. Have a good day.

  6. So, you're gonna make us all chili and potatoes, right? ;)

I hope your oncoming illness was just a trick and you're not really getting sick. Although around here my husband swears by any kind of citrus juice with vodka. You know, vitamin C to fend off germs, and if that doesn't work then the alcohol kills them. Heehee!

  10. Mushrooms in chili, now that's a first for me. Of course, we are all allergic to mushrooms so we won't be adding those. This is okay, too cause none ofus like them, either. Still I found it a bit interesting. I really want a digital SLR!

  13. Nice to find out more about you! I would give you my cold remedy but I don't have one and since I haven't had a cold in years maybe I don't need one...I would think that spicy chili would clear out the nasal passages! Hope you don't get a cold and the honey has worked it's magic!

  16. Thanks for putting up with my silly horse! I told him I was visiting Mickey Mouse, but he was disgusted that I would hang out with a rodent. (?) Have a great week!I'll post pictures when I return.
