The Great Dragonfly Massacre

You are about to hear a sad tale.  The great dragonfly massacre is happening   Those beautiful double winged insects that hold so much symbolism.
They are everywhere and seem to be in the grass.  And Abby has discovered a taste for them.  In a split second she dives for the grass and comes up with her prize.   Ughh, I have fished 4 out of her mouth since this morning,  sometimes I just liberated a wing, sometimes it's a half a bug.  Gross!   And after our supper time walk, the great hunter came in and promptly threw up.     Big fun!  On a happier note, here is a much happier vision of dragonflies. My friend Ben does some beautiful watercolours
Here is a link to his etsy store.  Please go check it out, you won't be disappointed.  And if you buy something and say I sent you, he might give you a deal.  Lol.  I'm getting used to the new blog app.  I was using blogger but suddenly I couldn't change the image resolution and photos were humongous.  So I tried to post from blogpress. Easy to use, I like it but it would not allow me to post.  I sent the error message to the app developer and they said there was no issue.  Seriously?  I uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing.  So I moved on to blogsy.  I could post but could not add photos.  I viewed the tutorials, changed settings, tried and tried, Nope - no photos. Drag and drop my ass!!  I told myself I would try one more and found blog pad pro.  Naturally it wasn't a free app.  Sigh.... And the interface looks quite intimidating but I've done the last 2 posts using it.  With pictures and everything.  Woohoo for me!

  1. Beautiful art by your friend. But not news I want to hear from yet another tech object. Problems with Windows 10 that Microsoft cannot fix (r not yet after 2 weeks), now my problem with trying a new web site that I can't figure out because I'm computer illiterate. And now again with Blogger?????

Kim, that would drive some people to drink!

  4. Well good you figured it out. That is so funny that Abbie likes to bite dragonflies. She must be really fast to catch them. I love that painting. It is just lovely.

  6. YUCKY!! Funny doggie....Dragon flies are not food. They are gross. Record that over and over and play it for her while she sleeps. :) They are just fun to watch fly around....from a distance :)

    Your friend's artwork is lovely.

    Have a nice day

  9. I dread when blogger stops working for me as that will surely be the end of blogging for me and my techno-challengedness!

  10. My Pepper had a taste for June bugs. She used to love crunching on them and then, to see their legs sticking around her beard (she was a Schnauzer), yuck!

  11. I totally enjoyed today's post....but, I believe I have the worlds biggest chicken of a dog, No fun stories to share about eating bugs, heck, she'd probably be terrified by a bug as she is of everything else...I think those lightening bugs...yep, mix them up right around fire works, and we're in the house! Can I come borrow your Abby????
