Sunday projects

I woke up this morning with another headache so I thought the entire day would be a write off.  I popped a few pain killers and we took a nap.  Much to my surprise, the usually hyper little pup settled right in.
In fact she was basically Velcro dog all day.  This was mid afternoons position.  Lol
Once our nap was over I felt like starting a new project.  Lori Brechlin offered a freebie pattern in Facebook so I excitedly drew it up.
And guess what?  I don't have a piece of linen large enough.   Grrrr.  Deanne, I'm coming shopping!  But since I had a hooking mood I grabbed one of the small pieces I had and drew out a simple little pillow.   Here is a preview, just for Saundra because I missed her while she was at camp. Hehehe
Fall weather calls for Fall comfort food.  Beef stoup (more than a soup, not quite a stew) and homemade biscuits.  It was so good.
Now I have about 25 minutes to eat as many snacks as I can before 8pm.  I have been supposed to go to the hospital for blood work for about 2 weeks but I keep forgetting not to eat the night before.  Since I have a doctors appointment Friday I had better get it done.

  1. Sounds like a nice day after the nap Kim. Those buns look so yummy, Enjoy,Francine.

  2. Mmmmmm love biscuits and stew/soup. I want some. Got any leftovers? :)

    Abby looks so content.

    Have a great week.
    Take care, Janet W

  3. Awwww... Abby probably knew you weren't feeling well, so she behaved... :-) Beef stoup and biscuits sounds GREAT to me! That's what I love about cool weather cooking... just throw everything into a pot and walk away... a few hours later, dinner is ready! :-)

  4. Stoup? Yum!

Yes, Miss Abby knew you needed some more rest.

  5. Cute Abby selfie! Glad you're feeling better and isn't Fall the best food season?

  6. I love that picture of you and Abby, how nice she was your friend all day with your headache. I love that freebie.
Don't you just hate that part? When you want to hook and not a single piece of backing to be found? One that fits. I hope you feel great today and you have a lovely Monday!

  7. I'm glad you found a little something to work on until you can get to Deanne's! Love that new Lori pattern. I have 2 of her patterns in progress.
Abby's eyes are so dark you can hardly see them.
    Hugs :)

  8. Glad you are feeling better. I have so much I want to hook and yet I don't work on the piece I have going. Your baby is so cute glad she stuck like glue.

  9. Cozy day - naps, Velcro dog, and yummy food.

  10. How I have enjoyed reading the antics of Velcro Dog...really, what a sweetie Abby is...your delicious looking biscuits appear to be the perfect remedy for a headache...Hope you are feeling better and the blood work goes well...Sending hugs...
