Blame it on the moon

There is alot to be said about the old wives tale that people get a little "strange" during the full moon.   I know that Mom does get more restless and ornery during the days surrounding the full moon.

And anyone who works directly with the public will probably agree that "customer service" can be an extra challenge at that time.  Much of my work week has been consumed with "Full Moon" issues.  Arrgh!!

I probably shouldn't confess all my stupid moments to you all but here is another doozy.  Tonight Millie had an appointment at the Beauty Parlour.  I scooped her up on my way home from work and dropped her off at the groomers.  She is usually there about an hour so I left her and went home to grab some supper.  As soon as I walked in the door at home I started looking around the house.  Auntie says "What are you doing?"    Me- "I can't find the dog".   She looked at me - like I was an alien and said "Uhmmmm, you just left her at the groomers!"    OMG - Duh.....Blame it on the full moon.

Here she is - all prettied up after her appointment.  Now that the snow (white crap) has arrived I dug out one of her little winter coats.  Isn't she sweet??

Its almost DWTS finale so I have to get settled in.

  1. I had to laugh Kim. Those are called seniors moments. I have them all the time. Once in a while I get at the intersection and I realize that I don't know where I'm going and make a panic attempt to remember because I have to make the decision to either turn left or go straight.

Millie is so adorable in her little coat. Does she uses little boots too? Her feet are so tint. JB

  2. Gosh, during this time of year, welcome to my world. Haha. Millie looks so cute with her little coat. When I worked in the public, yes, people really changed when the moon was full.
I hope tomorrow is a better day.

    Millie is just too cute!
I worked at a nursing home for 10 years (not in patient care) and the "full moon" really does affect the mood, especially those afflicted with dementia.

  6. Hi Kim,
Yep, the full moon has it's effects. I used to work on the mental health unit of our local hospital and during the full moon we always had a lot more admissions!

    Millie is adorable!!!
She's little, tiny even, easy to misplace! LOL!
Sometimes it's hard to remember yesterday.

  8. I was talking to my sister on the phone when she said, "Crap"! I asked her what was wrong, and she said she couldn't find her phone. I told her to look in her ear! We, or I anyway, have gotten lots of chuckles from that!

I have lots of 'senior moments' too.

  9. Millie is adorable in her little coat. Such a cutie. Don't feel bad about "losing your mind" it happens all of the time. I have trouble locating my portable phone - always hope someone will call so I can chase the ringer!
