I'm still waiting.  And I am not doing it gracefully.

Did I offend the mailman?  Is he holding my much anticipated package hostage?

My townsend #8 cutterhead isn't here yet.

Every day at lunch time I stalk the mailbox.  My little face pressed against the peep-hole in the door.  And yet every day all he friggin brings me are bills!

How rude!

So for now, all I can do is continue........

  1. You are so funny, I wonder why it is like that when you are waiting. I am so glad you can't sing too we have something to look forward too. My husband and kids all have perfect pitch so it makes it worse if I sing, they all almost scream.
So I just sing when I am alone.
Maybe tomorrow you will get your cutter. I am glad you liked the story. I wish I could have found a picture of her. I will remember that name forever I think. Have a great day tomorrow, Kim

  2. Kim, you sound like me. I've been waiting since last evening to get my pictures to upload. I'm beginning to hate the word "upload" I feel like uploading something else.....

When I ordered my hooking frame from Gene Shepherd this year, he told me that the frame was shipped directly from the company who made them, I think it was in Texas and that they were shipping the same day. I waited over two weeks, and then I emailed him and he tracked the frame to custom. Custom were sending back to the manufacturer because they didn't approved of some writing on the package. Being for hooking, one can imagine what went through the mind of some puritan custom officer.

The manufacturer was contacted and made aware of the problem and shipped me one directly and waived the shipping charges.

So hopefully you will get your cutter head soon and lets hope that custom will not do some silly ting like they did to me. JB

  3. Hi Kim,
I didn't get to respond to your post yesterday. What a tragedy! I can't imagine living in a place where a person's life is in danger every day. We are sooo lucky!

Hope your cutter blade shows up soon. It was probably delayed by the Thanksgiving holiday.

Do you have any fingernails left? I hate waiting, too. I'm sure it will arrive soon and you will be SO HAPPY!!!
Hey, we never got to hear "the rest of the story" about the stove, did we?
    Hugs :)

  6. Well... what a clever post Kim! Isn't waiting on a package frustrating? It's that time of year when the mail seems to simply crawl along!

  7. I am not a good waiter either Kim. I hope your package comes today. The image of your little face pressed against the peep hole of the door gives me the giggles this morning. But then I almost always can count on some giggles when I visit you. We eliminated the friggin' bills in the mailbox and pay online now. SomeHOW it doesn't seem so bad that way :) I am waiting on a hooking hoop. The wait is on!

  9. I hope it comes today. I would hate for you to get a flat nose pressing it on the door to look for the postman.

  10. Hi Kim! Hope your package arrives today. Is it from the new Bee Line/Townsend company? Perhaps they are still working out the kinks . . .

Thanks for visiting my blog this morning. Enjoy the day.
