Wednesday Wool Day?

I think that should be a new thing - Wednesday Wool Day. A day when fibre fanatics around the world get new wool. You know, you can never have enough! And what better way to break up the week? I've been debating what to do with the background of my rug to make it look less bland and plain. I picked up another shade of off-white and 2 shades of white/cream colored yarns.

Tonight I started playing around with randomly filling in

I hope no one asks about my border plan - because I don't have a plan yet. But I am open to suggestions.

It's snowing.....again. The curse of January, also known as the longest month EVER. Hope you all start celebrating Wednesday Wool Day with me :)

  1. What? You don't have to hook in straight lines? Can you tell I'm a newbie? I hear you about January being a long month, it just keeps going and going and going.

  2. Sprinkle something subtly sparkly among the whites - like the tiny rainbows you can see on the snow on a sunny day. :-)

  4. I'm loving the idea of Wool Wednesday. I have two wool blankets on my bed and I just love them as they keep me warm. I actually did a bit of hooking this evening too. Lets change Wednesday into Woolsday.

I love your solution for a fibre diet, lol...

Your butterfly rug is so beautiful. You have such good taste with the colors that I know you don't need my help choosing your background.

I'd rather have butterflies than snow, it's snowing here too.

My little James will be 2 years old tomorrow, can you believe how time goes fast even if January is slow?

I'm on the computer more lately, it must be why I find the time going too fast. We are over the halfway mark. Hang in there my wooly friend.

    Hugs,
    JB

  12. I would celebrate it every day if I could. I love wool and it really does make me go a bit crazy. I can't imagine what would happen if I ever went into a store.
I love your rug it is so awesome. I like the white and I am so sorry about your snow. January always in the longest month, but not as long as August. :) Have a great day.

  14. I agree with you January is a lousy month. I love your rug. I'm not a "hooker" but I'd be happy to celebrate Wednesday as Wool Day. I'm all for buying wool yarn for knitting!!!

  16. Wednesday wool day is a great idea! We could do Fiber Friday as well! That background, not to mention a border, are tricky. I have no ideas so will look forward to seeing what you come up with. And those nachos look delicious......
