Just beige

This weekend was very much like this pile of wool - beige. Not that there's anything wrong with beige, but its not very vibrant or exciting.

I did the usual weekend stuff - groceries, laundry, cooking, and hooking on the butterfly background. I did get a fair amount done, but there is still lots left to hook. Lots and lots of beige. My next background will have color. ANY color. I've seen so many great patterns lately its hard to decide what to hook next.

I'll work on "beige" for the next hour and then its Downton time! I wish I had something fun or eventful to post but who knows what the new week will bring.

  1. Well it sounds nice to me. I did just the same thing. Used beige for a background and I just finished.
So glad it was quiet for you.

  3. I could so use some beige in my life about now... ;o) Scrolled down some and saw your butterfly rug in progress...looking all kinds of good Girlfriend. But, you know, maybe that's part of why I'm stuck on my "current" (HA!) hooking project....I like dark, muddy, earthy, colors - especially in the final product, but the "doing" gets a bit tedious. Well, hey, it's a new excuse for me at least! (Thanks!) Happy new week to you...hope it's warmed up. We broke out of our Arctic spell for a few days of snow (we had about 5 inches this afternoon) and now some freezing rain, and rumor has it, another Arctic blast tomorrow. Oh yeah. 5. Lol, I love beige. My favorite color is brown :-) I guess hooking it would be kind of boring though huh? lol

  6. Hi Kim,

Sometimes it is nice to have a beige kind of day. After spending the weekends cleaning, shopping and doing chores I am just too tired to start a new project. Thank you for stopping by. I'm your newest follower.
