Weekend Random

I wish I had something terribly fun and exciting to report on my weekend activities.  The truth is it was full of chores, appointments, and housework.

Yes, I can hear you yawning with me.  But the taxes have been sent in and there is a small refund coming my way.  Sadly, I already have it spent.

I finally did get the winter clothes put away and the summer gear all washed.  I know I have been saying I was going to do that since Easter, but now it's really done.  I lost track of the number of loads of laundry I did today.

There has been no hooking all weekend and I still have a few rugs waiting to be bound.  My etsy store needs a few more updated items so I will put that on the list for later this week.

In between everything I have been knitting instead.  I found a different pattern for those little dish/wash cloths.  I like making them. They are quick and actually quite useful around the house.

If anyone wants some, let me know.

So, I bid goodbye to another weekend and brace myself for tomorrow and the round of meetings on my schedule.  I hope the evening meeting doesn't drag on too late.  Can't miss Dancing With The Stars!!

  1. Wow, you have been a good girl this weekend and got a lot done on the home front. I think that it's very exciting. It feels good to get the taxes done and e-filed.

Those little dish cloths are beautiful. You are very productive.

My husband just finished our Income Tax a few minutes ago and they have been sent and I'm getting a nice little refund that I've already invested.

I hope that your Monday goes nice and easy. Hugs, JB

  2. This was the first weekend I had free from school, I'm sure how I spent it but it involved food and drink. I'm sure of it.

We had a weekend? Where did it do? I was supposed to do a blog post today and it's already past bedtime so I guess it will have to be tomorrow...sigh. Just not enough hours in the day and not enough days in the weekend.
    Hugs :)

  7. I do hope your week is better than last week. So when do you get to go on vacation? It seems like the last one was a long time ago.
I hope you get home in time for your favorite show too.

  9. Some weekends are so full of responsibilities... I try to think of it as "all caught up" so that I can promise some crafty time during the following weekend! The knitted clothes look fabulous!!! Here's wishing you a quick and painless work week!

  10. I still owe you a gift for sending me my dishcloths. I love them. I use them all the time and have received numerous compliments on the vintage habit of using knitted dishcloths.

  11. I love that cartoon!! I want to return Monday too. The weekend is much too short...I vote for 3 days of work and 4 days to recover. Very cool dish cloths.

  17. Did I know you knit??? Yikes. I'm driving myself nutty. I love knitted dishcloths.....I got a few crocheted ones from my x-sister, but then I disowned her, so now I'm back to store-bought. Are you going to offer them up in your Etsy??? (Or are they already there and I am embarrassing myself my not having checked first????) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
