Ta Dah

My motivation eventually kicked in today and I just pulled the last loop on my rug about an hour ago.

I  then spent the last hour looking for the specific piece of material I needed to start the new project.  Did I find it?   No

Did a little April Fool elf hide it on me?  Possibly.  Hopefully it will turn up tomorrow.  It is material I have been hoarding because you can't get it anymore.

So I suppose I will resort to knitting a little dish cloth tonight instead.    Here is the rug - not bound yet.  That part can wait.

Not the best quality photo.  Just snapped it quick on my iPad.  Once it is bound I will take a proper photo.   This is last of my "friends" rugs.  I'm getting bored with that one.  Time to move on.

Did I mention I am only working 2 days this week?  Yippee.  After 4:30pm on Tuesday I am on vacation for a few days.  Lets hope Monday and Tuesday fly by quickly and uneventful.

Have a great week :)

YIPPIE! I hope the next two days go by fast for you too. It is so hard when you are looking forward to something fun and the days just drag.

Hope you will have a fun vacation too.

What a sweet little rug! I hope your material turns up quickly. I just hate when that happens ~ and it happens all too often for me.
Hooray for your vacation. You deserve it.

  6. Hi Kim, I'm back home and a bit tired. Sorry, we didn't stopped anywhere along the way except for a pee stop, refreshment and gas fill up. I made good time and didn't get lost . The place was packed and even though we made it there much earlier than last year, the large conference room was full and my daughter and her friend had to set up their spinning wheel in another gathering room along with lots of other spinners. There were 190 registered this year.

Congratulations on your friendship rug being finished. Wow, you are super fast hooker.
I hope that you find your material. Maybe Millie hid it because she want your undivided attention.

I'm glad that you got to have a little vacation, well deserved. Hugs. JB

  9. I love that rug!
I know you said it's not your favorite, but I think it's delightful.
Hope you find your special piece of fabric. Maybe the pesky April Fool elves will bring it back in May. Or sooner...
