Let your hair down

Everyone needs to let their hair down every once in awhile.  Getting together with friends, old and new, is good for the soul.  Letting go of all the stresses of life for a few hours and just having fun.

The monthly Friday Night Ladies Dinner Club was last night.  An assortment of different women, different backgrounds and lifestyles, various ages, all having bonded over the winter.

There is no shortage of laughter, fellowship or great food which is thoughtfully presented.

Conversation spans from the serious to the downright silly.  None of us take ourselves too seriously.   We are not a high-falutin group.  A discussion of books and book clubs quickly declines into giggles about being a member of a book club where you are expected to actually read the whole book.   (Can you imagine!!  Lol)

We are honest.  We are real.  We are sometimes silly.   We are fun.

Find a group of people you enjoy spending time with, and let your hair down. I highly recommend it.

  2. If there is anyone who needs a night to let her hair down it is you. I am so glad you have such a group of ladies to meet with and laugh and cut up and just have fun.
I kept thinking about you last night and I just prayed you would laugh and laugh.
    Have a wonderful day today,

  3. Isn't it great that we don't have to travel to exotic places or fancy cruises (although that would be awesome!) to enjoy ourselves to the hilt...having a group of good friends who really "get" us..understand our humor..pick us up and sometimes turn us upside down just for fun..and feed us as a bonus is the best thing..or as Martha would say.."that's a good thing"..enjoy the rest of the weekend!

  5. I'm so glad that you could let down your hair for fun evening with your Ladies's Club. You really deserve it after working out a budget for your city.
I'd take your advice and let my hair down too but my hair is rather too short to let down, hahaha, I'm afraid that I would enjoy myself too much at such an event.

Thanks for sharing your great moments with us.

About letting my hair down...I think it is about as down as I can let it. lol

Lost it a few years ago and now that I got it back I think I'll keep it. :)
