Changing directions

I had to do it.  That other rug is now at the bottom of the pile - the ever growing unfinished pile.  Pfft, who cares.  I had developed a mental block on that rug.

But it's amazing how a little change in direction can motivate you.  I drew out a new pattern yesterday and hooked the rest of the afternoon.   Projects hook up quickly when you're enjoying it, instead of plodding along just to get-er-done.

This is the Colonial Williamsburg pattern from Vintage Heart Primitives.

Not much more accomplished tonight.  Gotta watch Dancing With The Stars!!

  3. Way to move forward! Dancing with the Stars was interrupted by all the tornado warnings around here. They were all north and east of us so I was a little miffed at missing most of the show....but glad no bad weather here! Not very neighborly I guess!

  4. I liked the rug you put to rest and your new start looks fantastic so far. DWS--I don't know about you but Charlie shouldn't of gone home. One of the dancers that was declared safe in the beginning should have gone home, she wasn't that great from day one. My vote is for Max and Meryl to win.

  7. Real cute design! I'll bet each time you sit to hook there is a comforting sigh. Normally hooking is a very calming task; but like you just experienced it can also be stressful. Enjoy the new project.

  8. Morning Kim, We are all guilty of laying something aside that we don't really like at the time. I was surprise to see who was in the bottom 3, but it is something that I have watched each week. I don't know who I really want to win. I think Max and Merle. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  12. Again, very inspiring, Millie. You probably have shown us the back of these beauties, but do you have tips on how to keep everything neat on the underside?
