1 - 2 - 3 ....where's my eggs?

The weekend was.....well, interesting.  Ok, maybe not interesting but eventful.  Actually it was more like a triple threat.   A little stomach virus cycled through the house, knocking out each one of us in succession.  1 - 2 - 3 all in a row.  One Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday.  Luckily it was only a 24 hour thing for each of us.

You know how it is after you've been sick.  Last night my stomach was still a little dodgy so i didn't dare eat much but I knew I'd be hungry in the morning.   I had my heart set on breakfast.  I went to bed dreaming about the bacon and egg biscuit I was going to devour in a few hours.  So yummy with cheese and a little sauce.  Mmmm

This morning I felt better so I jumped in the car to get my breakfast.  I got home, my mouth watering as I unwrapped it.  And THIS is what I found

I guess someone in the kitchen got distracted while making my order.  All I got was a dried up biscuit with a few strips of bacon.  Who stole my eggs?  Where's my cheese?   Well, that sure burst my balloon!  I know I should have driven back and complained but I didn't.

I didn't get around to many blogs this weekend. Basically if I wasn't in the bathroom, I was cleaning it! The upside is that we are all feeling better this evening.  And I think I've cleaned every surface we may have touched with Lysol.  I think the cycle has ended.

  1. Oh Kim, that's terrible. After waiting till morning and driving all the way there and back and no egg and no cheese and sauce.

I would have called them right away... How disappointing.
I'm glad you are all feeling better though.
    Hugs,

  2. So glad to read you're all feeling better. Recently I had a similar experience with food from a window. My breakfast biscuit was minus about half the ingredients too. I wasn't late getting there, but someone was still asleep at the counter. Isn't that disappointing!

  5. So I am not the only one who Lysols everything, lol! Real big fan of antibacterial cleaning also. Where's your eggs? I would have been disappointed too. Must have been a new employee :)

  6. Oh my gosh, it happens there too? We are always getting messed up orders. I got to where now I literally check every item before I leave, I've had this happen too many times. Glad your illness was short lived!

  9. BUMMER! I know just how you felt. I sent DH off to get burritos the other night. I requested bean and cheese with guacamole. Instead it was filled with rice instead of beans, but at least they got the other two right. I was crushed. Did I eat it? well, of course...never a missed carb...

  10. Hi Kim...wow bummer to feel so yucky. We have had it here too. Both at the same time. One bathroom doesnt work too well if both need it at the same time...oh maybe that is TMI, too much information. lol

Glad you are all feeling better. Too bad about your spoiled breakfast. :( I have been to the local McD's here a few times... man 4 out of 5 times they make a mistake grrr

Anyway, weather here is finally cooler less or no humidity. Thank goodness. It gives our fans a much needed rest. They've been on 24/7 since the 4th of July. lol

Take care of you... Janet W

  11. Yuck! I'm glad everyone is feeling better, the flu is no fun. Maybe one of the idiots from the phone company went to work for the fast food joint...? :P

  12. Tim's... would love to love you but this kind of thing happens too often to be acceptable.

What is the point of fast food if you have to check EVERYTHING to make sure they didn't screw it up! Gets my nickers in a twist for sure lol.

Surprisingly enough this EXACT same thing happened to my boyfriend at Tims the other day. Got home and no egg... so I just cooked one for him (because I was already making eggs... what's one more to the pan hehe) and poked it onto the biscuit. Not the same but better than no egg!

  13. I'm glad everyone is feeling better - there's not much worse than the flu. Unless it's an egg/cheese/bacon biscuit with no egg or cheese.
