Burning calories

I had so much fun reading your comments on my last post.  I'm so happy you were all so amused by the fact that I turned into Shamu the Whale over the holidays!  HAHA Kidding girls!

Actually, I laughed so much I decided to google how many calories you can burn by laughing. I like this particular article that says you can laugh yourself skinny!   So I must have lost at least a pound reading your comments.

And someone suggested hooking would burn some more calories so I am off to a great start without even breaking a sweat!   So, before you ask --- No, I haven't fired up the Wii yet but there is ANOTHER storm coming this weekend so I will definately try one of those workouts.  Being back to work after 2 weeks off was enough of an effort for the past few days.

Today I had an inspiration for another rug, so now I am really motivated to finish the sheep.  If I can finish both before the fund raiser I might switch the one I donate.  I'll keep you posted.

  1. You are so funny, I feel like such a klutz doing stuff on the Wii. I am a klutz doing any kind of exercise. It is safer if I go outside in the cold. It will come off I think that is what is good about hooking, You are using your upper body. You do keep me laughing so that is good, I will loose weight too, :)

  2. Hahaha! Shouldn't we be toothpicks soon? Come on, keep laughing!
So the little personal trainer is still inside the box screaming to get out? Maybe he could shovel snow!
Can't wait to see the new rug idea. You are on a roll!

  4. Goosh Kim, if hooking took off the pounds I should be at the 98 on the scale!!! Whooeeeeee. Not what the scale said yesterday - need to really get that rug finished.
I look forward to seeing your new design. I love the sheep that you are doing.

  5. I did get out and take a long walk yesterday afternoon but then I came in and ate a dozen Tricuits with blobs of Laughing Cow cheese on them and a glass of wine.

  7. Kim, you are never at a lost to make us laugh or to keep us entertained. That must be why my husband is maintaining his weight because he laughs all the time except when he gets annoyed at me for telling him to eat more. lol.. I'm off laughing to loose the two pounds I gained this christmas.

I've got a bone density scan this afternoon and I have to wear my fat pants so I hope that my laughing won't interfere with the machine when I have to keep still. Have a great day. Hugs, JB

  8. Well, Kim, I should be fairly skinny myself if hooking takes pounds off.... LOL!!!
Anxious to see your next design, too. I have to do a rug for someone now, it being a Newfoundland Flag...Shouldn't be too difficult to hook but a little boring, don't you think?
