Do you remember your first.....

Do you remember your first......Kiss?

Your first.....date?

Your first.....Car?

Are you wondering where I'm going with this post??

What I really want to know is Do you remember how you felt when you SOLD your first handcrafted item??

Yes, it is true...... I sold my first rug last night on Etsy !!!!

I was so excited.  At first I thought it was a mistake!  Lol
Nope, no mistake.

If you are any type of crafter, you probably can relate.  I could hardly believe that someone would pay money for something I made.   I was discussing it today with an "artist".  She laughed but said that feeling never goes away, no matter how many pieces you sell - each one is exciting.
Happy Dance!!!

  1. I am doing a happy dance over here too. I told my hubby this morning about you selling a rug. He thought it was really cool too.
Yeah, I bet you never get over being thrilled.
I have not had this experience. :) You motivate me.

  3. That's so great, Kim! It IS a good feeling when someone appreciates something you've poured your creativity into enough to pay money for it. It makes all of those hours working on the design and executing it totally worth it. Congratulations!

  4. Congratulations! I am not a crafter, but I can imagine how good you must feel. It's great when you find something that you love to do (and do it well). It's even better when you can make money off of it.

  6. Congrats to you! I'm not an artist or have ever sold anything that I've made, but I can imagine that creating something and putting all your creative juices in it would make it very special...then to have someone else love it as much would be a joy. Oh, I do remember all my firsts....like my first blog post! Have a good weekend.
