Crawling out

It feels like I've crawled under a rock lately. I haven't felt like I've had anything blog worthy to post about. It's been a whole lot of blah, blah, blah around here.
Here is the Readers Digest version - work has been ugly busy. I know I probably have blogged the same rant every spring. But each year I seem to forget how crazy this time of year is for us.
Last weekend was gorgeous, warm and sunny weather. But guess what........I didn't get to enjoy a minute of it! Poor auntie came down with that awful flu and was in bed for days. So I was on full time Mom duty, plus I was running around the house sterilizing everything in sight. She is starting to feel better and by the grace of god, Mom didn't catch it. (Huge sigh of relief)

Tonight I forced myself to get back to my project. I needed to fix the mistake I saw in the last photo.

I have a couple other little areas to re-hook and then I will move on to hooking the little girl. This is taking much to long. I'm ready for another project soon.

Finally, the tulips from my last post have opened at last. The only trouble with tulips is they don't last very long once they open.

I think I'm starting to come around and see the light at the end of the tunnel so I'll be back to blog visiting and commenting soon.

  1. I hope you stay well and don't catch the flu either. I forgot how crazy busy the spring is for you too.
Soon I pray life will settle down and be normal again. We have so much to get caught up on. :)
    Hugs from me to you.

  5. I've been on a little vacation from the blog myself. I read a few blogs, comment and then shut it down. The weather has been so nice it seems a shame to sit at the computer instead of enjoying the gorgeous outdoors.Your tulips are lovely.

  6. Hi Kim, I am feeling better after spending the majority of the day in bed because of the flu bug. It seemed like at first I was living in the bathroom. I am glad that your mom didn't catch it. Hopefully you didn't either. I like the rug you are hooking. I just got through cutting out a place I embroidered because I was off a line. Time for a break. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  7. I wish tulips did stay around a lot longer because they are so pretty. I haven't been good at blogging lately either. Maybe we are all just slowly coming out of the winter blues.

  10. Yes, tulips don't last very long, so we enjoy their beauty quickly. I hope you and your mom are able to resist whatever it was that auntie had.

I think the rug is really looking good.

  12. I'm so glad that you came out of hiding. Sorry that the flu bug visited your aunt but glad that your mom was spared.

Spring seems to be busy here too. I haven't been blogging much either lately. It's not that I don't have anything to blog about, I think that I have too much and don't know where to start.

I've been baking in the hot sun pulling weeds are redoing some flowerbed but now it's raining a good downpour. It will be good for the gardens and especially for the fires that are raging out of control in the province. The ground has been tinder dry. I'm actually getting a good farmer's tan again this year.

Your tulips are beautiful and you are right, they don't last long in the heat. They much prefer the cool weather. It's so nice seeing them bloom though.

Friday tomorrow, hope you can enjoy your weekend and get away with friends for a little while.
    Hugs,
    JB

  16. Hi Kim,

I have been away awhile coz we don't have internet anymore and I have to come here to the library to use it. This has been going on for months and I have been walking and bussing too since my car has been out of commission. One good thing about that is that I have lost 15lbs :) Power walking

We are leaving at the end of the month to go to WA to help mom. My poor sis it going nuts.

I love your rug and the flowers are beautiful. :)

I hope everyone is well. Have a great weekend.

    Take care, Janet W
