This and that

The stay-cation is off to a great start. I got up early and had breakfast with The Captain (Crunch). Then dropped Mom off at adult day care and hit the highway for a bit of me-time and shopping.

I found a great little crafty shop and the ladies there were so friendly and helpful. Not at all like Michaels! But unlike my Walmart trip, I came home with just one bag ;)

Then I stopped at a Sports Bar for lunch and watched the Olympics on the big screen. And you can't sit in a sports bar and watch sports without one of these

And some spicy Thai chicken and a really tasty spinach salad

It was a nice little break for me. Now it's time to start on my new project and plan tomorrows activities.

  5. That food looks wonderful and so does the brew. I am so glad your first day is off to a great start. As I did my errands today I wondered what you were doing and if you were having a nice break.
I can't wait to see what you will be doing tomorrow.
    Have fun.

  6. I really enjoy going out to lunch. You don't have to get all dressed up. Your lunch looks delicious and the beer will quench your thirst in the summer heat. Vacations are always fun, whether to take day trips or travel away from home.

  14. Captain Crunch, why I have not shared a breakfast with the Captain for many, many moons. I think I just might have to make a date with him. Sounds like a lovely way to spend a "me" day, your lunch looks delicious! Have a lovely weekend, greetings from Maine, Julie.
