Chats on the Porch

Its that time again for another Chat on the Farmhouse Porch with Patrice and her darling horse Wendell over at Everyday Ruralty.

They always host a great little chat each with with some fun questions for the participants.

Here are this weeks questions:

QUESTIONS
1.  Are you a list maker? (grocery, to-do, goals, etc.)

Yes, I am a big list maker.   Am I a good list completer?.....not so much.  Lol   I try to make to-do lists at work but that NEVER works out.  I do always take a list to the grocery store though.  If I don't I just wander around trying to remember (unsuccessfully) what I need.

2.  Do you have overnight guests often?

Not anymore but we used to have tons of company before Mom got sick.  Now having overnight guests is just to disruptive to Mom and the routines.  I really makes her agitated.

3. Where is your laundry room, or the area that you keep your washer and dryer?

I don't have a laundry room.  Sadly the washer and dryer are in the kitchen.  Not ideal but at least they are kind of tucked in a corner.

4.  How are you with tools? Power tools?

I am generally pretty handy with tools.  Regular tools.  I think I would have a blast with power tools but no one seems to trust me with them.....

5.  Tell me something that will make me smile. Please.

Well.....today it is quite warm but I wore long pants to work.  Why, you might ask??  Uhmm, the truth is I didn't have time to shave my legs this morning!   OK, I know you are laughing but I KNOW you have all done the same thing at least once!  Admit it

  1. That is so funny, not shaving your legs. I had an idea you would be handy with power tools. I bet it is handy having your washer and dryer in the kitchen, You can cook dinner and do laundry too. :)

  2. My sister didn't shave her legs for the whole winter one year. When it started warming up and she had to shave she said she lost 5 pounds!

  5. I guess that you'll have to try that No No as advertised on TV. Even men uses No No to remove hair from their chest. After Chemo, I've never had to shave my legs or arm pit. That was the only good thing about it...

Long pants wasn't so bad today as it was a bit cooler here today but you're a good sport to tell us about why you wore pants today.

Having a washer and dryer is more important that having a separate room to do laundry.

I can use a gig saw and an electric drill pretty easy but my husband is the tool man around here.
    Have a great week.
    Hugs. JB

If I didn't make a list, I'd probably forget to get out of bed in the morning. Hey, that actually doesn't sound too bad :)
    Thanks for my Tuesday smile.
    Hugs :)

  12. Enjoyed stopping by to read your responses.... oh, and the leg thing.... that's me, all the way! Luckily I have always had blond leg hair, so no matter its length, it didn't show under stockings! (Stockings??? I haven't worn them in years - :)))

  13. I laughed at your comment about nobody trusting you with power tools!I also got a giggle about the unshaven legs. I almost wouldn't let an emergency room treat me because I hadn't shaved! :)

  14. Since I live in Florida I pretty much shave my legs everyday. I can't afford to forget! LOL on nobody letting you use power tools - wonder what motivated that decision? ;) Have a great rest of your week.

  16. I am so guilty of the not shaving my legs. I just hate it and its so unfair because neither my mom or any of her sisters have leg hair.

  18. Yikes....I fell behind here again....Must not have been on my list....Just kidding....But, oh yeah - I'm a big list person. My husband even accuses me of making lists of what to put on my lists. Then he shuts up when I make him a list.

Yeah, they don't let me near power tools either...or paint....or hot wax....they're even threatening to take the scissors away now. :o( Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
