When a boy meets a girl

Now that I have your attention, this post does not refer to me.  Little Miss Abby is the hot young babe of this post.  She had a play date today with a cute little boy Sheltie pup named Beckham.
Beck's owners have a fenced in yard so it was perfect.  We were all curious to see how they would interact with each other.  They were perfect little playmates.  Not one bark or growl.  They just chased each other around and around.
They ran and played hard for close to an hour while the humans chatted.  The best part is when we came home she just dropped and crashed.  She slept for 3 hours while I got some work done.   Awesome!
I like this whole play date concept. We will definitely be visiting Beckham again.   As for me this week has been busy.  I am taking a course for work and had a ton of homework to complete.  I'm too old for that crap. It was painful. I hope to get back to my challenge rug this week.

  1. This is a "trick" used by parents of young children to help insure that the little ones will sleep well at night!:-) Some really active outdoor exercise always seems to help there, and it appears that Miss Abby will reward you with a good long nap herself! xo Nellie

What a fun play date. So wish I had a fenced yard for Ellie to play in.
I hope your homework is complete. Not fun.

  3. My dog I had to put to sleep before Sasha was a Shelite. I just loved seeing the picture of them playing together. I bet she was tired out. I hope you get done with your school work. I hope you got your paper all finished.
I hope you have a very nice week.

  5. Way to go mom! Play dates are good to wear the pups out and they spend their energy in a good way and sleep well after.

  6. How cute, bet you really enjoyed a few hours of puppy sleeping. My grand daughter was over yesterday to our home, and she ran & ran outside with my Sophie, I didn't think about it until now....Sophie slept allot after she left!!! Did Abby get a haircut??? I thought I could see her face in one of the pictures....

  13. Nothing like a good ol' doggy play date!!! The neighbor kids just came over and ran around and played in the leaves with my dog -- and he's worn out, too!!!
