The night before

Ok, those of you that have been following along for awhile already know this.  The rest of you newbies might be shocked but I'm just going to say it.......I don't like Halloween.    Kids roaming the streets begging for food.
But the biggest reason is this........
Here is my confession.  I'm almost 50 and scared of clowns.  Not just "don't like them" but actually scared of clowns.  I was telling friends earlier tonight that a few years ago there was a Shriners Convention in town.  I came back to work from lunch, walked into our lobby and it was FULL of clowns.  A whole bus full.  My worst nightmare.  By the time I got to my office, my hands were shaking.   So what happens if a clown comes to my door tomorrow night??  I'm not doing Halloween.  I will pretend I'm not home until it's over.   My blog pal Alice shared a photo with me on Facebook the other day.  Let me tell you.......no way in hell will I ever be this needy for a hug!
CREEPY!!!!!!

  2. We pretend we aren't home too because Gabe goes berserk every time someone rings the doorbell so it's just not worth the hassle. I hope you don't run into any clowns!

  4. As you know I do love Halloween but not fond of clowns! Here at the Pines it's too far in the country so we don't get any kiddos knocking on the door. So enjoy your quiet evening and you and Abby can just chill out together!

  5. We do not get anyone, anymore, and I really don't decorate much, so my house is not inviting enough for people who are in cars to stop, lol. Usually I am alone at night, so I do not like having to worry that the doorbell might ring. I am not afraid of clowns, just never liked them for some reason.

  6. I have seen some creepy clowns, but oh my gosh have you seen the Today Show Peanuts costumes? That might keep me up tonight

  7. Well, I was okay with them until I read the Stephen King book "It". I have never looked at clowns the same way since. We live in a rural area, on a dirt road, not many kids out this way. But I always have candy (I chose MY favorite) just in case. LOL

  9. Halloween is supposed to be scary but I know with Abbey, you'll be safe. It all ends at midnight anyway.
Hope you won't get any clowns at your door.
    Hugs,

  10. You can't tell if they're smiling, snearing, or gawking behind those fake painted faces and phony smiles. Can't trust them!

  11. OMGoodness! Who would want a free hug from that scary clown in that scary place? Gives the goosebumps!

We live in a 55 and old apt complex secure doors. We wont get visitors unless they are just neighbors.

Hope you and Abby have a good quiet clown free Halloween.
    Take care, Janet W

  12. I think clown faces are creepy too! No kids in our neighborhood, all retirees! Besides, we keep our gate closed and locked! Baaahaaaaaaa

  13. When I did shows would sometimes have a cute clown doll that I'd made and one woman was petrified. So had to hide it out of the way so she could enter my booth. I've never had that fobia but you aren't alone. Hope the gouls goblins and clowns stay their distance from your door tonight.

  14. Oh that last picture is about the creepiest thing I have ever seen in my life. I do not like clowns either. I don't like costumes. I have got so bad I won't even go around all of the Halloween things that make noise and stuff.
Well have a nice evening in any case. :) Ron and I are watching Galaxy Quest. :) We broke tradition this year, normally it is Princess Bride. (Thank Goodness I can quote that whole movie.) Have fun!

  16. Hi Kim what a scary creepy picture. I don't like clowns either. Not as bad as you . Were watching the avengers finished carving pumpkins and waiting for little Jack to wake up from a nap and the fun to begin.

  17. I know a lot of people who are afraid of clowns (my mom is one). I have to say I don't really understand it, but sympathisize with you. Wondering if it's from a bad childhood experience or a fear that just happens. Maybe because I was on the Bozo show as a kid I decided they were okay...lol. The good news...Halloween's over!

  18. I have a friend that is scared of clowns. I can't say I really understand but after seeing that "hug" pic I think I do! Creepy! No trick or treaters at our house. We live too far off the road and that is okay with me. People in costumes makes me nervous.
