Gobble gobble

Happy Thanksgiving! It was a weekend of family and feasting. Like all of you, I have ups and downs in life but I have so much to be thankful for. And while we should count our blessings every day, sometimes we need a quiet day to remember what's important.
And in another thanksgiving tradition, I cleaned out my closet and ended up with 2 garbage bags full of clothes which I dropped off at the charity store.

I am currently sprawled out on the sofa in a turkey induced coma-like state. Here is the culprit.

All the fixings. No Martha Stewart presentation here - we're simple folk! Note the lovely chunk of jelly cranberry blob near the top. Yumm

And the finale. No thanksgiving is complete without pumpkin pie

One last thing I am thankful for........the person who invented Lycra for my thanksgiving stretchy pants ;)

Want to come clean my closet? I have clothes in it I haven't worn (or fit in to) for years!!!

  4. Looks like a scrumptious meal to me, Martha Stewart is over rated any way .
Pumpkin pie is my favorite pie this time of year, with dollop of whipped cream on top.

I'm glad that you had a great thanksgiving feast with your family.
    Hooray for lycra.
I'm cooking my chicken today. A turkey is too big for just the two of us.

  6. Mmmmmmmmm.... you're making me very hungry! I prefer the jellied stuff over the lumpy stuff too.... and who can resist swimming in mashed taters and gravy! Pumpkin pie..... Mmmmmm....

  7. Hurrah for lycra indeed! From stretchy pants to spanks (when needed, lol) to 'comfort fit jeans' I A-D-O-R-E stretchiness!
And tho I've always been a bit 'unique' in the categories of personal fashion and home decore (to mention only two, lol) each year finds me more fond of ignoring Martha and pants that need to be zipped with the aid of a pair of pliers...

Happy happy (belated) Thanksgiving - and thank you for the reminder that we all have something (or things) to be thankful for - and to share whatever blessing overflow we can. Be it extra clothing (a FAB TG tradition idea), food, a kind word, a helping hand or cheerful heart.

    Hugs
