The truth is I'm not very hard to please. I have read over the comments on my last post several times and they just make me so happy. It's so nice to know we have so many people in our corner. I didn't get to reply to all of you but please know how much they meant to me.
Yesterday I had the afternoon off and it was starting to snow. I was talking to one of the nurses mid afternoon and my stomach was growling. So we got talking about how I haven't cooked a meal at home since before Christmas. I decided I would stop at the grocery store and then go home and make a nice supper for me and auntie.
Beef tenderloin, fried mushrooms, scalloped potatoes and peas. Nothing fancy but oh so good.
Today one of my friends was laughing at me. She said she's never heard of anyone so excited about having to cook their own supper! Lol. I guess she has a point. But I'm simple and easy to please. :)
Tomorrow I go to fill out Mom's paperwork and I will get to see her room and meet her new roommate. I'm excited about it. It looks like the transfer day may be Tuesday.
Good news, good food, good for you!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy it finally is all coming together Kim, you did great through it all.....Yummy supper you made, my mouth is watering, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful supper! The next time you cook, be sure to set a place for me.:-) This is such good news about your mother being placed nearby. Hugs and blessings to you. xo Nellie

Mmmm....looks perfect to me! I enjoy cooking but when Jack's gone I never go near the stove! I hope all continues to go well for you and your Mom and the transfer is smooth.
ReplyDeleteOh Kim, Your news in the previous post was absolutely wonderful that your mom is not going to be that far away from home. It is amazing what can happen. You will be able to go see her easier with it being in your home town. Snow, Snow, 12" for us, but others got more. We are to get some more this weekend. It is nice to be able to sit down to a meal that you made and it sounds yummy. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteWhen the simple things are taken away for a time...that is when they are truly appreciated! I remember how exciting it was to go grocery shopping without bringing my mom or any of my kids -- heavenly! Lol...
