78 days

That's the number that stopped the streak.  For 78 straight days I hit (or exceeded) my Fitbit goal of 10,000 steps.   I even had a few days of over 25,000.  It really just started to see if I could do it for a week but then I just kept going and going.   It felt great.  And there was the added bonus of driving Cousin Joy around the bend. 😉 Lol
But in the middle of the week I got hit with a 2 day migraine.  It's rare for me to have one that stretches over more than one day.  And if you have ever suffered from them you know that coming off of one is almost as bad.  I have no explanation for this next part but when I have a migraine I crave fresh fruit.  Particularly green grapes.  Don't know why but I crave them and they seem to settle my stomach.  I wonder if there is something in fresh fruit that your body is lacking.  Anyway, I'm on the mend today and feeling back to normal.  Today I have to start dismantling the house, packing up the china cabinet and all the small furniture.  The floor guy is coming on Thursday.

  2. That is quite an accomplishment and I think I need to start getting out again, but rain and cold this weekend. I went to an allergist and he said you either crave things because you need them and other times, it is the item that is making you sick that you crave. I do find that fresh fruit helps me when I am feeling punk, I usually blend up frozen fruit and eat it as a slushy.

  6. Congratulations on exceeding your goal. You should be all fit for the summer at the beach. You don't fool around when it comes to renovation. I looking forward to seeing your new floor. Migraine are no fun but craving must be a sign that you needed fresh fruits.

  7. Okay power woman, I've continued to be impressed with the numbers as your numbers come in when I get my update. But I must ask you a question...... are you wearing your bracelet on your dominant arm or weak arm? Do you shake martini's at night to build up steps on the fitbit? Are you giving the BIRD to drivers often while driving your car? Just HOW are you managing all those steps? Jealous inquiring minds want to know.

  9. That's great! I usually get about 12,000 a day except most Sundays. I'm hoping when the weather gets nicer I can get the steps in on that day too! Feel better soon and good luck with your floor!
